Are you getting the message all the time? Are you burning any oil? How many miles does your car have?

Between serivces (10k miles) I add a quart or two of Mobil 1.
the 55 likes to drink oil, so not to worry if you have to add a quart inbetween your services... especially if you're like me and track/canyon drive your car on a regular basis

I have not had to add any oil between oil changes, but I've only gone 2500 miles between changes. When the oil starts coming out cleaner than it does now, I may go a little longer, but not more than 5k or one year.

Three quarts in 2600? That's about a quart every 850 miles, that's excessive. When it got changed last, did they put in 9 full quarts?

I put in 1 qt about every 5,000 miles, and do my changes every 7,500 miles or 6 months, whichever comes first. Manual says every 10,000 miles or one year, I feel it's personal preference more than anything.

I change every 5K with 5-40 Mobile 1. Seems odd that Mercedes would recommend diesel spec oil but oh well, no probs with consumption with track use.

Hello AMG-lovers! (My first post here.)
I change the engineoil every year or 15.000 kilometers in my C55
with Mobil 1 5-50. If you live in i colder climate you should
use the 0-40 (Euro-spec). Nothing else. The 5-50 is slightly thicker.
The 0-40 is good and easier in colder climate.
When I bought the car in Germany they put a "light oil" in it and it
drank it heavily...
After my 2 changes during 1 1/2 year with my 5-50, it is tight now.
I mean Really tight! Between services I put in maybe 1 1/2 liter max.
And it goes like... Ok, I have the Kleemann ECU-upgrade and I will
recommend everybody with the M113 engine to do that, absolutely!!
But thats another topic...
Ie, people living in Florida, use the 5-50 (Eur spec) and people in
Ontario use the 0-40.
Overīn out for this time!
