2010 Camero SS vs C32 AMG
Second time I've raced the new SS. First time was a high speed run when my C32 was stock. Pulled about two lengths 65-140MPH. Today with my current modifications 0-65MPH two or three lengths. 20-85MPH two lengths. Driving to work there was two SS dodging through traffic. One ends up beside me at light, and another behind me. The one behind revs me up... DA 8000ft. Did also race two RS. Not even worth mentioning. Had around five lengths after a quick sprint.

Your stock 349hp pulled 2 car lengths at 140 mph against a 420hp car? That's a pretty shocking win. I would've expected him to pull away at speeds that high. Good job.

Just for reference guys, I was at the local drag last Thursday and there were 4 SS's.
The BEST they did was a 13.7, best trap was 103MPH.
Something isn't right, as I refuse to believe that all 4 were bad drivers.
Side not there were also 3 SRT's. They ran 13.2 at 108MPH.
So a modded C32, which mine did 13.0 wins

I've driven a 2010 SS Camaro and it was fast, but then so is my car. I didn't think "whoa, this thing is a beast" instead I thought it was over refined and lacked character. I sure as the world wouldn't lay down $35-38k plus another $2k in tax to end up at $40k for a Camaro. Nice car, but $40k it ain't.

Nice runs
Now I know what to expect when I run those fierce-looking SS. How do you think a stage 2 (185, tune, intake, cooling upgrades, exhaust) C32 will fare against bolt-on SS without FI?

my good buddy has an LS1 camaro that is almost full bolt-on (full exhaust - LT headers, catback; lid (intake); no TB) and he is a great driver and we are dead even from 40-140. i've got videos somewhere. i'll have to find them.....granted his car is a factory freak and pulls on other LS1 camaros with the same mods plus gears,tb, and pulley....

a new SS with full bolt-ons (LT headers, catback, intake, tb) should pull a c32 with that setup.

oh i know. the new SS is no slouch. pretty quick stock. great engine of course (love those LS motors). nice car. a new stock SS should pull a stock C32....we only pull when modded. yay for boost!

I am just surpirsed you all are pulling LS1 from 60+...I have 185, E55 intake, H/E and tune and my car just does not feel like it would pull an LS1 on the top end. I have wondered if our hp/tourque curve of our cars being very linear and straight from low rpms to high rpms has a lot to do with the seat of pants feel verse cars, like My cobra, where it stayed low for a while then just spike straight up in higher rpms. My car just doesn't feel as strong as the CObra did with bolt ons (dynoed around 300rwhp on a dynojet, that is without nitrous)

out of curiosity, have you ever dyno'd your car? also, when was the last time you cleaned your intake filters?
