Eurocharged Heat Exchanger Pics/Review
So I received my Eurocharged heat exchanger last week and finally got the chance to install it this weekend.
Overall the installation of the HE and the Johnson took about 4 hours.
Reasons it took so long: did not measure right the first time and mounted it too too far to the right, getting the bumper back on right was a pain in the a$$, Hoses were leaking after install, needed new hose clamps...
Review: Although my old Johnson Pump had been bad for quite some time, with the new pump and heat exchanger my car feels like new! When it is hot outside (yesterday it was 102) the car is still running GREAT! Definite must have mod!
Also, the quality of the Eurocharged Heat Exchanger is AMAZING! Plus it looks pretty cool in the front bumper
The writing on the heat exchanger is: das Tier (German)
here are a few pics...

I think it looks great! Do you mind telling me if this is the newer HE?
Mine has thicker sides and the mounting points don't make sense at all (needs another sheet of aluminum to mount it correctly to the radiator support). While yours just mounts nicely to the crash support.

I like your style! That Z06 is sex!
It's amazing, the cutoff is outstanding and light spread is pretty damn even. Way better than stock. I could drive around at night with nothing but fogs on and it'd be fine. Although I do have the 8k HID kit in there...
That's possible, from the pictures I've seen it appears they've changed it a few times since the first model

Nice
Do you have any pic of it without the mesh covering, it's kinda hard to tell. I think the cores should be the same unless they've changed that as well
I was in the same predicament, the main difference is te cores. The eurocharged heat exchanger has a racing core.

Well as I have learned very quick with this car, do it right once so you won't have to do it again haha

I finally had mine installed and it only took me 9 HOURS!
Removing the bumper was a big PITA by myself and cutting and measuring all of the aluminum sheets to mount it to the radiator support was an even bigger PITA. I added a peace of mind with two zipties mounted to the crash support
I checked for leaks and was fine when the car was not rolling. I then installed the bumper and everything else and did a quick run. When I got home and pulled into the garage the damn thing leaked like crazy from the two hoses
So I had to remove the bumper again, which only took me 10 minutes this time and fixed the leaks and everything is great.
A quick review though, the car pulls constantly with HE, even in 95 F weather. I didn't know what heat soak was until I felt the difference with HE.
I absolutely LOVED it, definitely a "must get" for C32s especially if you're modded. Now onto dyno runs and get comparos with stock.

Mike and everyone else who suggested HE,
Thanks again for the recommendation!
I ran with a 208 CLK55 owner from this forum before HE and I can feel the heat soak creeping in after two runs.
Anyone has a cheap SL55 intake they want to sell me?
