SL55 Intake on C32. Bolt on?

Hi

Im having my intercooler core replaced because of a coolant leak. I also orderd the complete SL55 AMG air intake kit consisting of these 5 parts.

113-090-01-29 Y AIR INTAKE PIPE
113-090-05-01 Box for Air cleaner left
113-090-06-01 Box for Air cleaner right
113-094-17-82 AIR TUBE to Air Cleaner left
113-094-16-82 AIR TUBE to Air Cleaner right

My questions is are these parts bolt on or will there have to be any modification to make these parts mount to the car?

I have been searching around, but unsure wherever its bolt on or not?

no. actually, they wont fit directly on. you will need to trim a bit of the plastic off of the airboxes to allow them to sit properly.

the air hoses are also a little long and either require shortening or shoving/forcing them through the air inlets where they will stick out a little

correct. thank you for adding this....because if there is too much rubbing, it can form a hole/perforation in the splitter, leading to a leak. to prevent this, i actually put a piece of foam between the splitter and the firewall where there a couple of sharp metal projections to prevent this.

the shop foreman looked at mine and took a pry bar and bent that piece up and neatly behind the plastic trim, then we took some felt tape just to be sure... now there is plenty of clearance and no worries for me

btw what did you guys do for the air inlets that go through the grill? I just stuck mine through the holes but want it to mount flushly to maximize the air flow inside

Thanks all for the input.

About the triming of plastic. Does that involve cutting or sanding on the boxes?

i didn't have to trim the airbox. i just removed the metal clip on the back end of the box and bent the front metal clip.
