Where can i get the sl55 intake set up
Ive decided to just buy the whole sl55 intake for my c32 instead of buying th e parts because i would have to make some modifications to make it fit. i rather just do it right, and save myself the headache by just buying the whole kit and being able to "bolt" it right on. the only place i nkow that has it is tvt, is there anywhere else that has it or is that where everyone else gets it?
thanks
thanks

afaik. i think theres a little tweaking at the t/b for the spitter and you may need to tweak the front tubes so they connect thru the rad support. on my slk32 i needed to fab a small tab to slip into, the airbox slot were it mounts to the rubber mount. all in all not a big deal

With shipping it comes out to $370 when less than a year ago people were getting the set up for $100 less!! What the heck, did the prices go up or what??

I don't think that the price for a new full setup was ever less than $300. There is also a possible upgrade for the inlet hoses. You can get this:
a2730900182 KEVLAR INLET LFT
a2730900082 KEVLAR INLET RT
They handle the heat much better. But they are $45 each.

there was a post by Jturkel back in september saying he got his full SL55 intake off parts.com for $280
that means that now a new SL55 intake with k&n's is over $470....

try searching for a e55 setup instead of a sl55 setup. the airboxes are the same but cost less for the sedan
also the y splitter and tubes are no longer sold separetly. its a pkg and the price vs individual pcs is higher.
bottom line is if you wanna play you gotta pay!! look at the price for my needswings dual cai and you getting off super cheap! of course the dual cai flows about 350 cfm more air

Thanks for the help Lenin and 320 dreamer! I found a way to get the price at wholesale without having to pay for the shipping expenses, so I will be getting it for just under $300 for the complete set up which is ideal for me. Thanks again guys!!

I have a question. When to choose a box for air cleaner and Airbox to air cleaner, so it has lots of different options. For different model years, etc. Which one is correct?

airbox holds the filters air tube runs from the rad support to the airbox and y splitter connects both sides together at the t/b

Does anyone know which is more effective, the sl55 splitter or the code3 intake..? Anyone done a dyno on both of these..?

I had both, I'd say the SL55 splitter. If you think about where the code3 is sucking air from it's basically all hot air unless you are at high speeds.
