Seat Control Problem (not the battery drain issue)

Hello

I'm having a problem where my passenger seat controls are switched / not working. For example, when I press seat forward, the seat reclines back. Recline forward does nothing, and the controls are mixed up. I don't have a way of bringing the seat forward anymore.

I remember reading about the problem on here a few years ago but I can't find it in a search. All I find are problems with seat control modules draining the battery.

Anyone remember what the problem is?

Try "syncing" it up like you would with the windows like after you pull the battery out. I found this to work on my memory mirrors when they got "lazy."

I remember several issues related to the power seat controls being messed up:

They all related to forward / aft seat motor problems or the switch contacts being bad. In all cases, it appeared as if the fixes were inexpensive.

Here are some of the links:

Bad seat motor and link to a replacement part.

And another thread on forward / aft seat motor issues.

Thread on bad switch contacts buggering up the seat.

Seat Control Problem

Faulty LF seat control module was recently replaced. However, make sure to check and possibly replace your fore and aft control MOTOR at the same time or you will fry your new module for sure. I know this because I just paid the bill 2 days ago. Hope this was of some help. You are my first post here - ever. Later, dude.

Peace on Earth.
