So far it looks like it would be of benefit mostly at the drag strip. Not worth it for daily usage of the car.

Pretty cool stuff. I went over to Killer Chillers website to actually understand how it works and how it installs. One problem with daily use would be the increase in cabin temperature. Their site says it's about 5-7 degrees. If you lived in a warm area, that might suck. If I dragged my car as much as the E55 guys do and had to worry about quick cool downs, I'd definitely do this. Right now, I'm pretty happy where I'm at though.

Note that the E55 and the install vid on the truck had a LOT more room in engine bay than we do?? I do love the idea though.

This is why I have Code 3 Cool Can Chiller for ice in between drags. That with the HE, Johnson and IC isolation should do the trick for me.

I have no doubt the Killer Chiller would be beneficial to us.

+1, since they're using the AC compressor, that's gotta sap 5-10 HP from the car???

But would~20-30 degree cooler IAT's surpass your 10hp loss from running AC?

It could very well make up for the lost compressor HP.

I know that Speedriven has explored this on big money Kompressors and turbos. You'd have to take out the battery and perhaps wiper reservoir for the room to even do this in our cars. Problem is, for a Florida car, I am not sure I'd like to lose 5-10 degrees in AC capacity.

This could be a complete myth, but I keep reading on here that under hard acceleration our engine disengages our AC with a clutch. Can anyone substantiate this?

Went to Killer Chiller site and the dimensions are too big for us to install. We'd have no place to put the thing in the C32..................

Can't believe I never saw this thread all this time. Is there no way around fitment issues? This seems pretty Awesome as far as lowering IATs.
