Why should get a C32 instead of a TT S4 or an M3

Initial car cost is the only factor that I don't want included because I'm gonna get the car I want to drive either way, also all the cars I would be looking at would be somewhat close in price. I really like this one particular c32, but if I'm gonna deal with an overpowered RWD euro I could get an older M3, or I could get a high modifiable S4. Please convince me to just grab the AMG!

Ps I was also thinking 996 carrera?: )

AMG is for captains and power. Everything else is bicycle junk. If you are real man you will buy AMG Mercedes

I like the c32 for the money. a 996 is going to be double the money, m3 in the same condition/year/miles is probably 5-10K more, the S4 turbos will be reliability issues and you have to mod a good bit to get equal to the m3 or c32

It's funny you ask this because I got in a 3 car race battle on the highway on the way home from work yesterday with a myself (C32 AMG) a E46 M3, and a 6th generation C6 corvette. After all was said and done to my surprise the M3 was the slowest and myself and the corvette were closer than I anticipated! In fact we were almost dead on. I was so surprised because I actually thought I was going to get smoked by both of them.

So I went home to do some research about these cars.

C32 AMG - 354 PS (260 kW; 349 hp)) at 6100 rpm and 450 N·m (332 lb·ft) at 4400 rpm

M3 - 343 PS (256 kW; 333 hp) @ 7900 rpm and Torque: 365 N·m (269 lb·ft) @ 4900 rpm

C6 Corvette - 400 hp (300 kW) at 6000 rpm and 424 lb·ft (575 N·m) at 4400 rpm

I was surprised to see that the C32 AMG came stock with 16 more hp than the M3 because I was always under the impression that M3's were faster than AMG's stock. So I looked at all the previous and later year model AMG's vs. M3's and noticed that every generation AMG came from the factory with more HP than M3's. Of course I'm just talking straight power, not handling, suspension etc. etc.

I was thouroly impressed with how the C32 AMG performed on the highway against the corvette and M3. Also keep in mind my C32 is modded with a Kleemann pulley kit, ECU tune, 8.5mm mags, NGK iridiums, and K&N air filters.

I'm not sure about the S4 except the B6 (which is comparable to the C32) has roughly 339 hp.

My opinion is an AMG always any day! The power is great, handling great, look is great and most of all (which is what has always kept me with Mercedes) is the interior is fantastic. I've always thought BMW interior's were cheap looking and simple. But that's just my 2cents.....

I like how the TT wasn't even mentioned lol
My buddy had a TT The only thing cool about that car was the all wheel drive and the 6 speed tranny. every week there was something wrong with it.

If I didn't buy the C32 I would have bought a 350z or a IS300 those were my options.(Money Wize)

M3 will never have the torque of the C32 or S4. I think for the money vs. mods, the Audi and Benz will be cheapest bang for buck. But like the previous poster said, it all depends on how you like the way they drive best.

All cars have the pros and cons.

AS for me, if I had the cash, it would be Porsche all the way.

i was in the same debate between B5 S4 and a C32...its obvious which one I chose, and I am very happy with my choice. However, the B5 S4's are definitely a great, very moddable, somewhat reliable, car. and they have AWD which is cool depending on what youre looking to make of it.

Op,I can't speak for the C32,but maintenance and repair cost for an e46 M3(out of warranty) can be a little pricey(and is a must imo). The other thing you might want consider is the newest C32 you can pick up would be a 2004 while with the M3 it's a 2006....I don't know if that matters to you...I'm just throwing it out there...GL

and M3s and S4s don't have HOT girls in Blue dresses parked in front of them like the C32!!!

I do know your feeling though, I almost bought a Dinan M3 before the C32 BUT the car was pretty beat with high mileage and I took a pass. Guy who eventually bought it wound up blowing up the engine a few weeks after I got the C32, so I know my decision was solid!!

s4 pros:
-you can buy an already modded s4 with k04 turbos for about $13k now.
-they run high 11's
-awd launch = rape everything from stoplights in rain, snow, or shine.
-gauge cluster looks awesome
-stereo is better than c32, by far

s4 cons:
- unreliable piece of **** (i had a stage 3 s4...)
- seats are not as good as amg
- body looks dated

c32 pros:
- body looks more modern than b5 s4
- seats are way better
- classier car
- better interior (except gauges)
- more reliable

c32 cons:
-ugliest gauges evar
-stereo blows
-not nearly as fast as the s4 (only comparing against k04 turbos)

My car is a 130K car and I drive it every day; HARD. Could you do that with the others? Maybe. I don't know. But every time I destroy some old man in a mustang, some douche in a bmw, or some child in a wrx, I feel pretty ****ing good about my choice.
