Parting Ways
New 2011 Mustang GT Premium Convertible. Performance white with red leather interior.
The AMG has been fun. I will be back someday, but I think when I come back, I will be sporting probably either an E63 or SL55.
Peace out!
Sure, it may not be perfect or exclusive like the C55, but I've been wanting to get into a newer AMG for a while. I got a pretty good financing offer which will actually allow me to start shifting into a better financial position.
And it is more like a quarter life crisis. ****, I'm only 26. Haha. I'm hoping I live a little longer than 52. Lots more cars for me to buy...lol
The next one I want to buy is after I have a house and a garage to put it in.

"Suspension Upgrade
Hello Everyone.
I was looking for people to provide me some feedback on suspension work they have done.
My main focus is to improve the ride quality. The roads in my area are not the smoothest (there's an understatement) and I'm starting to get annoyed with feeling EVERY little road imperfection.
I am even considering getting into a different car, but I sure as hell would need a really good offer to let it go for less than trade in blue book value.
Any feedback is greatly appreciated."
Throw some longtubes + tune on that GT and slaughter 99% of the C55's out there.
Edit: Slap on some heads and cams and harass the supercharged AMG's as well

(My pre Euro cars would make my sig too long for most forums. But I've owned Mustangs from 65 to 70, HiPo 289's and 351 Clevelands with top loaders and Detroit lockers). Have fun with it, but you'll be back.

That 5.0 is also bolt-on modifiable as you know. Get the SC and you'll be harassing Vettes!!

The LS series motors are indeed extreamly reliable. We've got a customer at work with an 05 Corvette he bought brand new that is now putting down over 400hp to the wheels with 130k+ miles on it that he drives every day.

Dude - I'm with you on the new car being WORLDS better than the previous few platforms....but it's still a large, heavy, live rear axle car that requires great skill to get performance anywhere remotely similar to that available from a C55.
Also, from a performance perspective, on a track everybody is looking out for you, and you are all going 10/10ths in the same direction on a very wide piece of pavement so when the car steps out over a ripple bump in mid-corner, you can usually recover and keep going....not at all the same if the cutesy pony decides to perform the same 'live rear axle' trick in the middle of an on or off ramp or over sharp edged highway seams. I'm just saying....there's a reason that every real performance car has independent rear suspension....
Kudos to Newb anyway, as the Mustang clearly fits the bill for what he needs in his life right now and I agree that the C55 is VERY far from perfect in a lot of ways....

The 2011 Mustang GT gives the vaunted E92 M3 an honest run.
