My black C55 - after two weeks of ownership
Got her two weeks ago for 15K with 60k miles on the clock. Bone stock.
So far I've done subtle mods like CLK grille, flat badge and LED park and license plates lights. I'm not planning to do much, perhaps the only thing left to do is a 19" wheel upgrade.
The C55 is really an awesome car and I always look forward to driving it. Although I only use it on weekends if the weather is clear.
I'll take better pictures next time. I was forced to use my back-up point and shoot digicam since my DSLR batt went bad.

Thanks guys!
This is my first black car. It's the hardest color to maintain but it rewards you very nicely right after you put all that effort in detailing it. My hands hurt, but it's all worth it. Perhaps I should invest in a Porter Cable DAP

Great looking car, and it has the bixenon package! Let me guess, COMAND as well? Was that your flat badge and W209 grille swap or the previous owners?
I am curious as to where you bought your car (location). You got a really good price, even for 60,000 miles on the odo. Care to share? Private sale I am guessing?

Yes, it has COMAND/Nav. Here's a poor shot of the interior:
I got the car 100% stock. The flat badge and grille swap are my mods (I ordered the parts as soon as I took home the car ).
Yes, it was a private party transaction (Autotrader listing). No way you could get such a deal at a stealership

Got it that way. Exactly the same question I asked the seller hehe.
I have a set of 19" Bremmas complete with MB silver caps waiting in the garage. I'm just finishing off the rubber on the stock rear rims and I'll switch wheels... and caps

Not sure what the surprise is, I have the exact same on my stock C55. Black center caps to indicate rear rims, silver center caps to indicate front. I have been meaning to swap out for all silver for a while now.

Oh so they were really that way out of the factory? I just learned something new.

Car looks great, congrats. Wow, $15k for a clean, unmolested C55 with a desirable color combo and options. What's a comparable C32 worth these days, $10-12k?

Congrat's - car looks super clean. I have the same car and color combination with 24K miles (orig owner). Should serve you well as these cars are pretty reliable and many guys have well over 100K largely trouble free miles on theirs.

PC I defer to you on all AMG knowledge, however, I do find it odd that my stock C55 rims are not alone in having the rear black center caps. From reading this old thread (https://mbworld.org/forums/c32-amg-c...3-changes.html) it sounds like some of the C32s rolling out of the factory had blue and black center caps, so couldn't it be reasonably possible for some C55s to have come with rear black center caps (mine is a 2006)?
