Newbie: C32 Modding Question

Hey guys. I have a 2003 C32 that I have had for a few months and absolutely love. I am interested in getting some modifications done to it though.

I have done lots of reading on here and on Eurocharged. I understand I can get a 181 or 185 pulley and then a "tune". I live in New England, so I'm nowhere near Eurocharged. Where can I go to actually get one of these installed if I buy one? Can I go to my MB dealer or would they turn me away?

Is the 185 better than the 181?

How would I go about getting a tune done? Do I need a tune if I get a pulley?

Thanks so much for your help!

185 is more boost than the 181, it could be better depending on your supporting mods. You can mail in your ECU to get it tuned, unless they have a certified dealer near you that can tune it. And yes a tune is highly recommended if you have a pulley.

Or we have remote tuning cables....we can tune your car anywhere as long as you have a laptop and wireless internet access at your vehicle!

We can even do remote dyno tuning using these cables!

How easy is it to tune with the cable? I do have a laptop with wireless internet, so that's no problem.

Could I tune before installing a pulley? Would I see any difference if so?

Yes, you could do a tune before installing a pulley and then retune when the pullley gets installed. You'll notice a big difference with a tune over a stock setup.

That is the link for the tune and EuroTuner combo.

The EuroTuner is a device that will let you flash the car yourself. You can keep multiple files (stock, mod, race gas, etc.) on your laptop and flash back and forth at your convenience. We email you the modded files and you flash them to your car.

If you wanted just the tune and the cable, the links are below. The downside with the cable is that we only do the remote tunes M-F during normal business hours as we have to physically log onto your laptop remotely to write the file to your car.

Tune and Cable

Hi Jerry, what is the turn around for the ecu once you receive it to being sent back out again? What is changed exactly? I can see the rpm and speed increase. How do you achieve the extra torque and hp? If it is not for public knowledge that is perfectly fine, I am simply curious.

Do you add fuel and ignition maps for higher boost or are these already there despite us never getting to those levels on the stock pulleys? What do you do to the stock areas of the maps? slightly more ignition advance? leaning out the fuel? I am guessing MB is like every other manufacturer and leaves things richer than they need to be.
