Vibration on a 1000rpm
I have just bought a c55T. I've already had some problems, had to change the ACC-panel among other things.
But now I've got this vibration at almost exactly a 1000 rpms. It's easiest to notice when I'm easy on the throttle. I've read that the motor mounts is a fairly common problem, can this be it? Some other guy spoke about the "turbine"(?), supposed to be something in the tranny?
Do you have any ideas?
(Hope I'll make myself understandable, expressing technical issues in a foreign language isn't always that easy)
Thanks

hmm It's not something I'm familiar with. Some of the expert here on the board will probably know more than I do.
There was complaints of the C32 vibrating but it was usually when driving around 40MPH. Turned out to be the drive shaft if I remember correctly.

OK, thanks.
Is it possible to take pictures of them without raising the car?
In Sweden the motor mounts cost over $ 200, each, and perhaps $ 100 for the tranny mount. I've seen that there are way cheaper alternatives in the States. Is there any particular retailer, or motor mount, that you guys can recommend?

Always go with OEM. I believe Bosch makes them. But I have a feeling it is the mounts as well... although there could be something with the trans, but the easiest way to put that to rest is to put the car in neutral and slowly raise the RPM's, if vibrating the same then its not the trans tunnel.

Yes, I will. But I'm wondering if Boge actually are the factory mounts? Do anyone know this? Also, I'm wondering if anyone has changed the mounts themself and can provide me with a DIY or some info on how to change them in an easy manner.
Thanks

From my understanding they are Bosch units, I have never heard of that company so I doubt they are factory. I cannot help you with mounts bc I tend to not like getting my hands too deep into the engine. Go to an Indie they should be reasonably priced around $500 installed.

Boge is actually a respected company. Earlier, when I had a BMW, Boge made the EDC shock absorbers. I also think that Porsche uses them, at least they did on earlier models.
