Keyless Go Retrofit?
I've always wanted Keyless Go with the shifter button start. Sourcing various parts - door handles (2) and shifter (1) looks to be about $500.00. But what sort of electronics would be required? Has anyone performed this retrofit? Perhaps CLK parts would work best?

There is a thread (older) and not easy to find by a heavy modder of W203s. Sutil - I believe was his MBworld name.
He was / is an expert and couldn't get it to work. With my long list of mods to my C55 I would love to add that to the list even though I don't even drive the car. Based on his information I didn't even attempt it.

I would love it too, so keep us updated for sure. I know I've seen Steve (mbenznl) do it to some of his customer's cars. Something tells me Star with developer mode will be required. I believe on that particular car he also added the heated/ventilated seats from a CLK as well. He's got pictures on his site where he added active tire monitor to a C55, I would love that too.

The guy's name is Sunil aka Sunman. He is the owner of the shop in Houston where Eurocharged is co-located. It will take a lot more than a developer version of the STAR system. This involves deep knowledge of the MB systems and protocols and will be very expensive. There is a reason why his was the only w203 car to my knowladge that had this mod.

Boooo. sorry but i hate this comment.. a lot of people always say this when it comes to retrofitting Custom MODS...
i say go for it! i did an engine swap.. most people will say just sell your car and buy a new car with the options.. that takes the fun out of modding..

I was planning on doing this mod and the price was only around $1,500 for the parts and I would have done the work myself. So for the price of rims, I bet you can do this mod. You just have to be willing to do the work and a bit of research. It definitely can be done.

Be careful as to what is given as success stories for W203 cars. D2B and Keyless Go (≤ MY04) and MOST and Keyless Go (≥ MY05) are two different animals.
Sunil had reached the point of a complete retrofit of K.G. components and had them all communicating but no functionality and terrible alarm and no start conditions as a result. His difficulties that I'm remembering are with the MOST ≥MY05 cars.

I work for a dealer and could not get this accomplished if I wanted this is why I say don't bother. MB will not release us coded items that do not match our VIN#. Others have done it because they have special relations with MB and like above said they were not entirely successful and cost over 4k. Google it you will see what I mean. "w203 keyless go"

Um, no it doesn't. It has the flat silver top like all C55's have. If you look at the pictures, one of them shows the front interior through the passenger door. You can clearly see the key in the ignition switch. And the keys are shown and it has the same kind of keys I have for my C55. None of the options even say Keyless Go on them. Keyless entry, yes, but not keyless go.

ok, point taken...but since we are being technical: this car has the updated MB keys [with the triangle panic button] that were only issued with new 2011+ (I believe) cars---so, unless you got BOTH keys reordered (like this car apparently did) it's impossible for you to have these "same kind of keys you have for your C55". And besides, just because the key is in the ignition, doesn't mean it can't have Keyless Go...some people chose to start the car the old fashioned way.
No harm, no foul. Cheers!
