C32 AMG
Look into www.autotraders.com. They should have a couple of C32s listed.

what is making you consider the C32 over your M3?

I think it's time to try different taste.

There are some reasons.
Bigest one is strong regulations and monotonous roads in U.S.
When I drive a car in europe or my country I'm not really care about regulations or police so I can go as fast as car can, and the roads are so exciting. I can feel that I need a better car, I need a sprot car. But now I just follow the speed limit because of strong regulations.
M3 doesn't give me big impression any more. It is really nice car but I only use 30% of the car performance in local road but I have to lose my comfortness.
So I though C32 will fit to me and the car should give me more comfortness. There are lots of comfortable cars out there but like you guys I really enjoy full accelation and maximum cornering so I can't leave these kind of car.
sorry for wrong English.

don't worry about it, it was good english. The reason I ask is because I am trying to decide between an M3 Coupe and the C32, can't make up my mind Thanks for the answers though...

The "Prices" seem to vary depending on where you look.
Someone purchased one with < 15 miles for <42K with Nav, from
a dealer. Others have paid between 44-46K for cars with <8K miles. It all depends on how bad the person or dealer wants to sell.

Thanks for the answer.

And If you hesitate for your car choice, first take a test drive both cars then decide your mind.

I drove a C32 just once. My impression was fast car and I can feel some gap between car and road. I think that is the way of Mercedes. M3 will give you more good feedback because it has relatively small gap between car and road but you will be tired when you want relax in the car.
Both cars have enough performance so you don't worry about any performance issue.
You already know both cars characteristic so my advice is don't thinking about the cars performance data such as 0-60, etc.
That doesn't give you any thing. Important is feeling of car. so you have to test drive before purchse.
And another advice is just my opinion, if you are rich then you don't need my advice. But my case I prefer like new used car which is less then 10k miles. I think the M3 is not that car which you have to spend 60k for new one. I think the car perfomance will be fine but qulity of the car is not 60k range car,. Just my opinion.

that was actually good advice, I never usually get answers like yours but you are right, it is the feeling of the car since each of the cars have enough performance that it doesn't really matter...I have never owned a Mercedes Benz but I drive an E36 M3 right now and I'm sure it has a VERY rough ride compared to even the E46 M3, not to mention the C32. I am planning to take both for a test drive and see what I will like better...

i was in the same boat as you kaoticM3, but when the bmw dealer won't let me test drive a M3 and wanted 3000 markup. i walked to the next door and test droved a C32 and got 1G off MSRP.

Jerry,
they didn't let you test drive it?
that really bites
you should have drove the C32 on their lot and go talk to the salesman that did that and show him what he just missed

some BMW dealerships in that respect won't allow test drives of their "M" cars...but most of them will let you granted they actually have a car on the lot, and usually there aren't any M3s lying around that are not presold. I went around yesterday looking for an M3 to test drive but to no avail, however I did some pricing with a few dealerships and I probably can get under MSRP (46,500) but probably not a substancial amount, maybe $500 off MSRP. I am going to test drive the C32 on monday, and I am able to get $1200 over dealer's INVOICE on it for the 2004 model (any changes?) so its much less when compared to a nicely equipped M3. Decisions Decisions, the test drives will play a big role.

I THINK I had the same experience as you Jerry. I originally wanted a Beemer twice. First time a little over 2 yrs ago. But them salesmen were a-hole snobs so I got the benz. Second time I wanted a beemer was a 330 cabriolet a few months ago. Same F'ing thing happened. Treated like a nobody, not being able to test drive a car and see them by myself-just downright dissed @ 2 dealerships. So I got the Audi. I'm happy w/both cars but I always wanted a beemer. But I aint about to spend over 45K and be dissed- HELL NO!

well, had a 328Ci and lost it in an accident. Time for a new ride after a year driving my dad's extra car. Looked at the M3 and absolutely loved it, but no 4-door and have to wait more than 9 months on the damn waiting list plus the $3k mark-up killed the interest for me. Saw the car magazine start talking about the new hype C32, saw the picture and just knew it was it. Placed ordered within a week and 8 months later there it was at the dealership...WOW. It suit every single bit of my needs other than the 17 not being 18 wheels and regret not getting the Comand. That was 14 months when I got my car. I wouldn't change it a bit, wish I can have both tho...lol

Only if you intentionally want bland, lifeless styling. Somehow, I don't think that's what you're going for and why would anyone?

A lot of people have made some excellent points about both the M3 and the C32. I think the C32 combines performance and luxury exceptionally well. It works wonderfully both as a high performance vehicle and a daily driver. I have not had good experiences at all with BMW realiability, service, or sales. Some may differ, but this seems to be a familiar scenario to many. The poster was correct when he stated that some dealers actually wanted $3000+ markup for their beloved M3s! What a joke. My C32 was specially ordered and the dealer still came of the MSRP for almost a thousand. If you can find one on the lot, you'll probably do a little better than that. Shop around, and don't be afraid to look out of state. Dealers can usually work a trade with each other when they have a buyer looking for something specific.

Good luck with your research and purchase!

I went absolutly the same way. I was looking for m3, but dealer asked about 3 K's more, i was about to get it, but decided to take a half an hour walk just to think and ended up with my c32.

Im selling my C32 in a couple weeks and can't decide yet what to get c32 again or to go with m3. Also E500 is crossing my mind and used 745.
