Hello AMG fans!

What would you do if you were me?

Buy a highly tuned C55 kompressor with 620hp, Bilstein suspensions, carbon interior, LSD, etc.
or
a stock Clk 63 black series? (around 500hp)

I can't go wrong either way (both come with a warranty)

Hmm, what kind of warranty on a C55 with 620hp?? Indeed I would want one with that much HP on tap though....especially if the transmission wasn't beefed up...

Personally, I would probably go with the CLK 63 AMG (Even if its just for reliability sake)...

Concur - CLK63 Black Series FTW. Besides, you already have a highly tuned C55, right?

Unfortunately, the ONLY car that makes the CLK63 Black Series look normal is the outrageous CLK DTM AMG:

Since you already have a C55, I would go with the CLK63 BS. The problem is, knowing you, you might go to Vaeth to have it supercharged. Well, maybe that's not a problem, lol.

uh... this isnt a real question, right? I <3 the 203 (and the c55), but a clk63bs is a completely different ball game.

thanks for all the answers! Some of you guys might not trust me but i still havent made my choice ! The c55 comes with a garantee cause all the components are beefed up and from the e55k. Engine, trans. Rear axle and so on. I will have make my mind within the next 6 months so i need to go test drive the black but at least i know what you guys would do!lol

yea its a sick car! One of my friends has one and the engine alone makes me drool. This is the sickest car i drove with the f40 and the slr. But way too expensive you are correct!

I Hope this is a joke. Am I the only one who finds this absolutely rediculous. If you buy the c55.... I can't say it on this forum.

The 6.2 runs in the 10s all motor. And there are supercharger options now. Who cares how much hp the c55 has. This is like comparing a 500whp civic with a c63.

i cant agree with you for the civic point because the clk63 is a higly tuned clk55: different engine, race suspension and a lot of cb fiber. And since the c55 is faster out of the box compared to the clk55, imo a highly tuned c55 is a cleary an alternative to the clk63.

Here you go Sir:

These mods will be done by Vath since they do amazing stuff and I had a great experience with their products. Not to mention the warranty 3 years or 100’000km.

• M113 engine (from the E55 K)
• Rebuilding the M113 engine, including transmission + gearbox and converter assembly all from the E55K.

• Additional manifold system and catalytic converter

• Tuning: individual tuning of the ECU, Special belt drive and upgrade of the intake system and air filter. At the end 600hp with 890Nm for the 5439cm3 engine.

• Rear axles with a modified transmission from the E55K also.

• Special LSD built for the C55 to handle the power.

• Exhaust system from the E55k also with 76mm pipes.

• High performance cooling system for the engine gearbox and engine.

• Complete chassis from Bilstein.
• High performance brakes, 360mm 6 pistons in front; 320mm 4 pistons for the rear.

That’s about it.
