Anybody up for a good laugh?
Ignorance is bliss for those who enjoy those "Sports" car Infiniti G35/37...

I only read the first page and a bit. Not as bad as I was expecting but then I have read a lot of garbage on the internet before. The 350z and 370z are great cars. I am not sure what the G cars are for...

lol at that thread. I liked the post about some guy buying an 07 sedan and saying how much better it was than the C55... Other than that, a lot of them seemed to think it was an upgrade. In my opinion, between a C32 or a C55, it is a no brainer to choose the AMG. The 300HP G35's are SLOW.

Not the whole thread is for a laugh, the ignorant people... what we all call Fanboys... aparently there are G Fanboys, my favorite part is how one guy claims how great his car handles and that an AMG is a downgrade in handling and styling..

someone should go on there and say that in europe, the c32 came with the 1.8 kompressor engine and that the c55 is a twin supercharged v8. only in europe though.

well im quite often wrong, manual is faster than sport surely - i think so, unless you dont know when to change gears not saying that you dont, however in my experience, paddle shift in manual, beats sport, though i spend most of my time in sport ...

my best 0-60 times were from TC off in S mode shifted manually, in M mode the car holds the gear too long in high RPM's. In S mode you can hit the limiter and it wont lag. but on the track M mode all day! Try it you'll see!

ok, might be missing something, in m mode holds the gear too long, isnt that for us to decide when to change ? has been awhile since driving in m mode, will give it a whirl tomorrow, this is with esp off ?

I'm with this, you have to shift seriously early to hit the ideal RPM's in M mode, to the extent that its almost impossible, S mode wins especially in drag races, sometimes S can be a lot of fun in the twisties though

for instance, in S mode you can hit the redline and it will smoothly shift to the next gear which is really important from 1st to 2nd. but in M mode if you get close to the redline the car will think your gonna hit the limited and braces for it and thus lags for about a 1/2 second causing your car to lurch back and forth when it hits the limiter. Drag racing is always in S for me, but on the road courses always with M mode, you can hold the gear you need throughout the whole turn unlike s mode.

2005 C55 AMG, 2010 VW GTI (Stage 1)
I had an 04 G35 coupe prior to getting my 05 C55 and I still love the G35, fun car, comfortable, great exhaust sound... but C55 is obviously a different class of car. Plus, G35s are like a dime a dozen, so another reason was wanting to have a rarer car (I also considered e46 M3). That said, G35 is still a really nice car, great value, and in some ways perhaps it better prepared me and helped me appreciate everything about my C55

I have driven a G37S coupe before, it was nice, but just lacked the torque im used to, along with the brakes I love on the AMG... but overall the C55 AMG is just in a completely different league than the G37S Coupe! I will say that I have never been beat by an Infiniti! and most of them are teenager owners/poser boys. I would rather have the 370Z even though the suspension is rough (or it could just be the seats lol)

I don't know if it's just me. But I also feel like the interior is crap on the G35. Everything is plastic that snaps together. I feel like our cars are built better interior wise.
