My nemesis "The tranny jerk"...is that pestering cross dresser still out of the picture with all?
I think so, for the most part. However, I didnt ever really experience it too badly before so its hard for me to say its any different.Originally Posted by macbryanie

im thinking about sending my TCU for a Tune but im scared of getting the jerk you guys are talking about..
Finally got to put my tcu in after it has been tuned.. I'm getting a slight jerk when the car shifts from first to second in anyone of the three modes S C M.. Is this normal?

It's not the tranny jerk as that feels like a shift at 1500rpm. I now have the TCU tune too but haven't put the car back together yet, you say at the shift point it jerks: maybe as it is more agressive. How is the tune? Does it hit the rev limiter etc?

I've just installed my EuroCharged TCU yesterday so I have only had the chance to try it out for about a day, all I could say is its a little more aggressive.
I instructed Jerry to do the following;
S = More aggressive and standard (Faster Gear change, hold revs, higher RPM)
C = Run almost standard mode with any changes he recommends.
M = Full Manual Mode
So far my findings...
S = The torque converter locks up quicker and harder, you feel it change gear quicker.
C = Almost like original s-mode, when coasting the rpm will drop lower to save fuel.
M = Much more responsive and it locks up the torque converter harder.
Because generally the torque converter locks up harder it easier to loose traction when changing gears on accelerating hard.
Will update again later when I get the chance to try it longer term..
Many thanks to EC Jerry & Adam..
