Sprintbooster Ok For Tuned ECU Or Just For Standard ECU's?????
think i might get a sprint booster.
but i have a s/c pulley and tune incoming.
will the sprint booster just spoil/upset the new tune?
Cheers

Waking up this thread because I just installed my SprintBooster II on the C55 and absolutely love the responsiveness/progressive pedal. Hands down a great mod for the lazy MBZ throttle. I am getting a tune from Eurocharged in two days (and had similar concerns as OP), so figure if I don't write an update all went well... ..or i'm up a tree somewhere

Maybe Sprintbooster II and Eurocharged are a perfect match?? If so,
then thumbs up for you!!
Maybe different tuners have different throttelresponsivness??
I asked when I did mine, and they told me they take away many "restrictions" in the program. Let me give you an example: Before when going out of a roundabout, and you suddenly wanted more power, it wasn`t there... You had to press more than 50% of the pedal before "anything happened". I call it "ladies pedal". (Preventing inexperienced to put it in the first tree!)
You´ll find THAT RESTRICTION in almost any powerfull car today.
NOW! I have ALL the power directly under my foot, if I want to push, it´s there!!! Note, we have A LOT of torque in the lower band too, nothing beats cubic inches! It´s more fun to drive today, you can do more!
I don´t need any more sensitivity in the pedal.
(Ok, I have 410-420 crank in there..)
It is what it is. And it´s very good!!!
For THAT reason, I don´t need a Sprintbooster in MY car. But I can
respect people, who want that responsive feature!

I assume your car will take the same unit as a C32 sedan. The unit most people buy fits all automatic Mercs 00-07 - though I think there is also an AMG specific unit.. Not sure which I got (I think the generic Merc one) It works like a dream
Happy hunting!

Yeah, I know not everyone is a fan & it doesn't add power. I'm getting that tune tomorrow morning, but as for the SBII- I think it is an improvement over the factory Mercedes pedal, which feels ham fisted compared with other cars I've owned. I would say the only downside is the hair trigger nature requires a learning curve.

Thats the downside to SB, it makes the throttle very touchy!!! (and doesn't make it any quicker)

FYI: SB has a 2 year warranty BTW..mine was switching on and off by itself. I took it off for a couple of weeks to see if it was the TPS. Sent it back and currently awaiting the replacement. SB honouring the return. I had mine for a year I think. Love it ;green on always FTW!

I wanted to post an update: just got my car reflashed by Eurocharged.
The SBII feels much better with the tune. I have been running the car with just the SBII and it was beginning to be annoying how a fraction of a degree of pedal would decide between gentle acceleration and all out blasting down the road. I felt that once the car adopted a more tame shift pattern from prolonged city driving, the SBII's touchy characteristics became a nuisance. (still prefer SB alone to stock pedal feel, though I wouldn't trust it if you like to get the car loose and power out) I specified the SBII when Eurocharged made me my tailored ecu tune, and I think that this made all the difference. It all came together, the car is knife-edge sharp and predictable with its power delivery. I can trust the car sideways now, but be careful out there guys!
