Powerchip free trial

Powerchip Australia is offering me a free 14day trial of their chip. Before I drop the car with them next week, are there any negatives on this deal? I don't want a blown engine or anything like that!

Go for it, that is a good deal.

I don't think your engine will blow because of ECU remapping, I haven't yet seen an engine blown for that matter.

Thumbs up Powerchip

Don't think you'll have any problem with their chip. I've heard a lot of people on this forum and other forums who have them and only have positive things to say about them. So go for it! Wonder how come CA doesn't have this offering??

The only negative point I can think of is that it will not be free. You will most likely like it and want to keep it

JamE55, by the look of the datasheet available from Powerchip's website, the 14 day money back deal is also available in the US (although you need to do your own fitting, whereas here in Australia Powerchip does the fitting for you).

they claim 17hp/16tq gain on a stock c32 - 14day trial not bad at all - can't someone with a shop capable of doing ecu work download the info and then return the chip?

uh oh i can already see it coming software piracy hits car ECU's:v

C32 AMG
roOzy: Each chip is fingerprinted to each DME through individual key code. Sorry, but your plans will not work.

We will be testing just the software on totally stock C32. I will post the results shortly.

Yeah they could blow it if they cause it to run lean, really bad things start to happen fast.

your right..... it is Forced Induction.... if the ECU isnt programmed to run the right amount of fuel you can lean out the engine and then kabooom!!!
