Question How durable is our transmission and rear ends

Hey guys I like to run my c32 at my local 1/8th mile drag strip, which is currently running 7.90's. I'm running BFG drag radial's so the car is leaving pretty hard, just wondering if the tranny, and rear ends hold up pretty good in these cars.

Don't go below 18 PSIs in the rear tires. You can snap your axles. I so far did not have any other issues with my C32.

That's pretty quick, have you done any 1/4 mile runs yet?

Yes, 7.90's is fast. Didn't you run 7.99 previously? That's almost a full tenth of a second in 1/8 of a mile?

I'm running about 22psi in my drag radials, launching right around 2,000 rpm, as much as the stock convertor will let me. Between leaving at a higher rpm then befor, and realy nice air temp, the car went from between 8.00's my very best being a 7.99, to pretty much staying in the 7.90's. The car also just had a retune from eurocharge because of some slightly high afr's and driven straight to the track, I think the kleemann cams contributed to this not sure. Is snapping axles a common problem for these cars.
I havent ran the car yet in the 1/4, my closest 1/4 mile track is Maryland international raceway.
Oh, and by the way alot of mustang's and camaro's don't like this car at the track .

Snaping axles is not very common but it happens. Just ask blackbenz (use site search to find him). He is also organizing a track event on Nov 17th at MIR (Maryland International Raceway). I'm planning on going. You should come. It's a Saturday. $100 to enter.

From what I can see to it doesnt seem very common for axle breaking, and realy couldn't find many issues with our drivetrain giving up.

I couldn't find any information on the Nov 17th MIR event. If you could give give me more insight about it would be great, thanks.

I don't think this is an "official" Mercedes event, just blackbenzz setting up a track rental day. Perhaps that's the confusion on Jason's part? On the rental thread, someone even posted about talking to Jason on the phone about the 17th. blackbenzz (Ahmad) sets these up a few times a year, you might want to call back and ask about Ahmad's rental on the 17th. I will be going (as long as I don't screw up my car installing parts over the next few days ) so it'd be nice to see a few W203 AMGs...looking forward to seeing you there Lenin

If you are pulling consistant 7.9's in the 1/8th, you really should come. There's only 1 C32 listed on Dragtimes below 8 and the conditions should be really favorable towards putting down some good times
