Vogtland springs on a C55.... no lower than stock!?

I just installed the Vogtland springs I bought from another member on here with the expectations of at least a 1'' drop all around but after installing them last wednesday and putting close to 400 miles on the set up the car is literally the same ride height as stock. I measured the fender both before and after and its lowered by maybe 1/8'' of an inch. Has anybody had this issue before? DO i need to put 1k+ miles on them to have them settle? If they dont settle i'll be extremely upset as the fronts were a serious PITA to install.

Any input would be appreciated...

yea, they do feel a little bit more stiff. im pretty happy with the ride but to not have it sit any lower than stock kinda negates the reason for installing "lowering springs" ya know?. a smaller pad would probably help but the front is as high as the rear so honestly it wouldn't be a real solution.

for the cost of the springs(even though i got a good deal) the time it took to install them, having to take the fronts to a shop to use a professional spring compressor because the ones i rented from autozone wouldnt work. and now the cost of having the car re-aligned i'm pretty upset with the results and am surprised that if this is the expected results, that there are not more people who are in my position of frustration.

eclectic assortment of cars
Are the springs spec'd for a C55 specifically, or just a 203 body car? If there aren't C55 specific springs, I think probably springs for a V8 engined 209 should be used (but that's just speculation from my part as to whether they will fit).

Yes they are specifically for the w203.

my thoughts would be the springs should be less firm and provide less of a drop for a standard w203 due to the significant weight differences...

Did you happen to loosen the LCA bolts with the car in the air?

I believe they were for a c32 but will work for a c55 as well. I couldn't find any info on their site since it's all in German....

I didn't touch the LCA's in the front. I obviously had to take the rears out to fit the springs in.

I would think that the if the springs were for a c32 they would not work on a 55 and if they were for a 55 they would not lower your car in the front at least. Also if the LCA bolts were not tightened with the weight of the car on them you could be binding the bushing and holding the car up with it.
