I am planning on getting 2 12" subs to go with 2 RF bd1000 amps. The Elemental Desgins E12A, Adire Brahma and the JL W7 are the three subs I am looking at. What are your thoughts on these subs? I also plan on using mb quart mids and getting a flipscreen deck. With about 2000 watts would a cap or an extra battery be suggested? Will I be able to do this without voiding warranty? Thanks

For me, the 2 X 12" subs are over kill. I will suggest going with just 1 X 10" or 12" just to save some weight and space in the trunk. The RF amps are great for subs. As for the MBs for mid, I think they are okay. Too sharp for my ears. My suggestion is to go with the Diamond Hex.

1 10W7
Definitely go with one JL 10W7, you get mad quad with one of those. You don't want to weigh down your car with hundreds of pounds of weight. Your warranty on all electronics (in my opinion) will be void with all the aftermarket headunit and amp installs.

i have just one 12" W6 in a box in the trunk thats perfect and sounds killer if i just fold down one of the rear seats, but then again you might be a audiophile and 1 12" doesn't cut it

Even though it adds a lot of weight Im pretty set on getting 2 12's. I had 3 in my old car and dont need that much but would still like it to be loud to me. Which set of Diamond Hex's would you recommend? My mids amp is a RF 800a left over from my old car. Do you think that would be good or should I sell it and get a less powerfull amp for the mids? Would a cap work for this setup(assuming 2 12" w/ bd1000 and mids w/ 800a) for will I need to get an extra battery?

Don't reuse those old amps. Just sell them on E-bay. For your mids, I will get a four-channel amp that match the same brand and series of your head unit. For example, if you are going with the top of the line Alpine, then go with the best amp in the same series. To avoid less chance of distortions and engine noise. For connection, use monster/ RF's white wolf. They worked well for me. Most importantly, make sure you have the right people installing the system with a warranty

So I should sell my bd1000 amps too? They were also in my old car. Is there a better amp you would suggest for an E12A or a brahma 12? If I go with the w7 I will most likely go with the matching jl amps. Does anyone know of a good high end audio shop in the orlando area?

I got almost 2K watts as well and I got a 10 farat cap and I can tell you w/everything all they way up my interior lights STILL dim...If you go w/2 12's make sure you get a customized box as you dont want to loose all your space and make your trunk completly useslessGood luck and post pix when you are done.

RF makes great amps for subs because they put out tons of power. RF and Kicker amps are my choices for subs because they are reliable. Chances are, your bd1000 have more than enough power for two 12s.

Mids - Diamond Hex and Diamond Motorsports. The Hex is the top of the line. Expensive, but sounds very good. A pair of 6.5 componets will run about $500.
