Heated seat SAGA
My heated seat saga continues. I’ll try and keep it brief. Both of my bottom pads of the two front seats don’t produce heat. My service guy had ordered the parts. I though I was getting new leather out of the deal although it turns out what he had ordered was just the heating element (the heat pads). When they went to install the parts, the previous pad didn’t have a power slot. THERE WAS NEVER A HEATER IN MY BOTTOM TWO SEATS! That’s pretty weird. After wasting a whole Friday I believe they are going to order me a whole new bottom including the leathers.
Whey did I never have heated bottoms??

Ditto. My driver seat cushion does not heat. The only thing worse than a hot head is a cold bottom. I wonder if the German who was in charge of installing the seat heaters in the black cars (which mine is also) had a little too much ice wine? Let me know how yours turns out, as I will be calling the dealer for warranty work next week.

Mine didn't work either on the driver's side. Dealer ordered the usual non-AMG heater pad - then found out it was the wrong part. Then ordered me new base (leather as well?) which has taken about 3-4 weeks to arrive in UK.

I also had the driver's seat bottom heating element replaced. When the dealership replaced the element they put a tons of wrinkles in the leather. So I had them order a new bottom cover. They do work well in the single digits.
