C55 is slower then C32
Trending Topics
I have been reading various articles on some different sites about this new beast and sad to here that it is not faster then our current c32s. Mercedes posted the c32 0-60 at 4.9 and they are posting the c55 as 5.2, other sites i have looked at are all stating 5.2-5.4. I thought this thing was going to be a rocket, too bad. Looks like i am going to have to go for a slk55 instead.
i still think the C55 will be faster.... both off the line AND from a roll.

So theoretically (never accurate since acceleration is none linear):
(5.2 x 60)/62.1371192=5.02 seconds.
Give or take a few tenths.
I guess that a sub 5 sec time is as easily attainable.

based in ///AMG data the C32 does 0-1000m (1km) on 24.3 sg. and the C55 does in 24 even...:o who really cares of 0-60 or 0-100km.......on the other hand the SLK55 does in 23.8 and the CL55 does 23.4 sg.
ah by the way this photo ROCKs

maybe 0-60 will be 0.x slower due to weight, but after 0-100 km/h the c55 will be faster.
if the brakes are same, c32 might win in tight tracks...
if it's nuerburgring, the c55 win for sure...
and now the 55 engine use the vtec thing benz first use.
anyone know will they put the new 7 speed gearbox in the C55?
coz they will use 7 speed or 6 speed manual on the new SLK.
i'm sure the midrange and top end will be faster than our 5 speed
agree, c55 will be faster. most variables to c55 are better.

In addition, the new 7-speed gearbox is physically no bigger than the "old" 5-speed unit.More parts in the same volume means smaller parts.Smaller parts are more fragile....
C32's would be just as quick with a 4-speed auto.
