Drive slowly!?

If you do come across winter tires, they work great. I've had no issue with mine in Chicago.

Morphh - i'm not too far from you in Chicago and been using continental DWS winter tires with no issues or complaints for driving safely in the snow. i actually tried to use my Pilot Sports during the first snow we had in late novemeber and they were horrible, with a few inches of snow on the ground they could not get any traction and i would literally slide 15-20 feet coming to a stop at a red light and was very dangerous!!

there are probably cheaper winter tires out there but you wont be disappointed with Continental DWS.....

Drove the E55 for 2.5 years in Ottawa/Toronto, had Dunlop winter sports great tires! Grips very good. ESP ALWAYS on, Transmission mode in W.
These cars are very tail happy on dry pavement, imagine how it'll be on snow.
Be gentle on the throttle and steer slowly.
ESP is a life saver thank god! I was going left at the middle of an intersection down a slope, when the rear tires suddenly lost grip, the car was going to hit the kerb on the right when ESP intervened I felt every wheel brake individually and the car straightened it self out

There's a S/W switch in the shifter console. Standard starts the car in 1st gear. Winter in 2nd gear.

Drive safe.

Just FYI on the C55 C/comforter mode starts in second also. We don't have a W mode.

It will be the first winter for my c32 with just over 60,000 miles,
Buying winters = 1200,00 bucks
Or try the tires I have on car witch are toyos, has anyone tried all season with our cars?
I also want to get new wheels
Thanks for everyone's input

No I did not take this car to the track yet this one is in storage until spring its not completed yet ,we still have some finishing touches to do
But I'm using my 2005 C55 for the winter and I took that one to the track last year it ran so beautiful.

I have used Toyo T1S/T1R in the winter and was always happy when I made it home alive. Unless I start gaining speed at the bottom of the hill on my street, the car in the snow would not be able to jump a 1 inch lip where my driveway meets the street.

Michilin x-ice are pretty amazing in my experience even compared to the toyo observe garits. Granted they were mounted on a wrx but the amount of traction even on ice was pretty astounding considering they're studless.
