I have a friend who purchased a 2002 c32 new. It has a signature plate embedded in the empty square indentation in the top of the compresser. My c32 does not have this plate that identifies the mechanic who built the engine. Hmmmm. Did I get the shaft somewhere along the line? Lift your hood and tell me if you have this plate. Thanks for your trouble.

AMG C32
I had my supercharger replaced out of my 02 C32 and i lost the sig. plate, however the dealer was able to get me a replacement. They told me that they had to get it from AMG directly and had to have the mechanic that originally built the engine sign the new plate. It took about 2 months

This should probably be verified by someone who knows more than I do, but I think they didn't put them on until the 2003+ models.
My 2002 C32 does not have a signature plate.
Last time I checked it looked like in its place they had put a metal outline of the energizer bunny or something. I'll have to re-check that to be sure tho.
