What Will Your Next Car Be?

This is something everyone will get to respond on. It's been kinda dead the past couple of days here in our section, so let's try this. I have owned my C32 for a few weeks but I am addicted to new cars so I'm always on the lookout for the next ride.

Q: What will (in the next few years) your next car be (year, make, model -- new or used)?

(if you're not getting a new car for a long time, just say you are...what would it be?)

I have an 05 CLK500 Cabroilet on order (since well before I purchased the C32), so that may be my next car. I have been hit with the AMG bug, so I don't know if I'd do the swtich now...

Also, in 2006 rumor has it Dodge will be coming out with the next generation Viper Coupe. I will own one of those for sure.

The C32 is more fun to the CLK500 (stock vs. stock). But if you throw in a Kleemann supercharger to the CLK500, thats another story. If you dont picture yourself spending another USD15K modding the CLK, keep the 32.

Can I make a list of cars that I want to get? Not just one, but during the course of my life? I HOPE my next car will be a W211 AMG, E60? E65? E70? whatever it will be. A SL is also on my list, so does a 997 turbo. A Bentley Turbo R would be my ultimate goal!!

I guess I better start buying from you to support your car "problem" .

Thanks for the info. on the 32 vs. 500, I'll keep that in mind. We'll see what happens when (or if) my order even comes in.

'02 CLK 55 cabrio (sold), '03 C32 (sold), '04 R32 (sold), '04 911/X-51 (keeper)
Next...

My '03 C32 is now the oldest vehicle of the three I own. The CLK 55 cabrio (from my username) was traded last Christmas on a '04 40 Jahre 911, and this past February I picked up a Tornado Red R32 to use as my winter car. The C32 is the only one I lease, and I have about two years to go. Who knows what will be hot in 2006? If I had to buy something now, it might well be a C55. I like these cars a lot, and really don't need the room nor the expense of an E55. In my opinion, I'd shop the new M5 coming out, but like on most "Bangled" designs, the styling leaves me cold. I've had a few Audi cars previously, but with the R32 have no real need for quattro. I like the C class AMG since while it is entertaining and rewarding to drive, it is fairly conservative and makes for an excellent car for business purposes.

Selling my C32 (see thread) and Range Rover for Cayenne Turbo. I drive an average of 2-3 miles per day so I just want one car. I want an SUV for winter but also a sportier car for the summer. Thought the Cayenne was the closest to that requirement.

Nice Steve! You won't regret buying an Evo MR. Having a lot of seat time in my brother's EVO VIII, I can't imagine how sweet the MR will be.

My next new car will be a Lotus Elise. I have had a deposit down since last fall and hope to see my car around the end of this year.

dont believe what steve types!

He is keeping that C32 until he gets a new M4 when it comes out. He can only dream of EVO VIII MR's but he does not have the "look" of a EVO driver

Sorry steve I had to let the cat out of the bag!

Plus his c32 is getting to be a rather sporty car! Im starting to enjoy it!

C32
good question

Well, this car is going to be expensive to maintain in the long run and I am probably going to drop the 3 grand for the extended warranty. The bad news is home -> work = 30 miles one way. You got it. I've had the car for 7 months and it has racked up 9500 easy miles.

C32 will probably go buh bye in about 7-8 years, in which I will get the next generation Prius. Yup - a Prius for those long commutes.

Along with the Prius, probably a go kart like car like the Lotus Elise (assuming it will stay in N. America for good).

I agree!! I have an Evo VIII now and was considering ordering an MR, but I'm so deep into the VIII, I can't justify it. MR sounds awesome though- 20G turbo, better t-case, 6-speed tranny, yaw control, limited slip front and rear diffs, the list goes on.......

Well,

My next car is an e36 m3. That will be strictly for the track.

I plan on keeping my c32 as my daily driver for at least 100k.

My next fun car will definitely be a porsche maybe the 997 or a used 996 Turbo.

Or I might just screw it all say goodbye to buying a home and get a nice Gallardo. That car is super niiiiceee

I don't know about the m4 though will have to see what Bangle does to that one.

He's going to be waiting for a while. M4 will probably never come out, despite what the mags claim.
