I was wondering if a m113k can make around 600whp reliably how far can we push are NA m113 if we boost it with a turbo or supercharger. Kleemann sells a supercharger kit that brings it to around 420whp or even more with other mods but what if we had a turbo how far could you go before it being dangers. I'm guessing main problem would be the high compression we have 10:1 or 11:1 what could we make before having problems on 93 octane and what if we installed e85. I want more power out of my c55 if I cant sell it and I have a turbo lying around so why not do a rear mounted turbo but I want to make sure I can make a good amount of power before I start.
If you want to make power than you need to start with a M113k swap, you should be able to get an engine for cheaper than an aftermarket kit, 500rwhp can be had with headers, pulley and a tune.
Unfortunately it's cheaper to sell your C55 and buy an E55, much cheaper, much easier. If you're not happy with an extra 30-40rwhp long tube headers and tune will provide on the C55 you're better off selling it for an E55.

Yes I have heard that lots of times but a m113k swap is 6k and I would sell my c55 and get a e55 but its not really about me making power I just want to know how much power are engine can hold the NA m113 I know the m113k can hold 650whp can ares come close to that?
member here by name of swede pat has claimed his most powerful NA M113, at over 400HP from fully custom built intake and especially, porting of the heads
Thats NA so like 420whp thats not bad but a lot of money. what do you think if money and ECU fuel not a problems just max power with a turbo with E85 and 93 before engine starts having problems I know the compression is high so what if you run e85 with boost.
Man thats a little low but what if you had boost and E85 or 93 just max power what you think. I am thinking around 500whp with a turbo on 93 and a little more on E85 people run 600whp on m113k reliably so how high can we run are motors reliably to.
If there are no major differences between the 113 and the 113k internally then you would be able to run similar power.
Thicker head gaskets to drop compression and a turbo or two with supporting mods could be interesting.
I think the answer to your question is: Noone really knows as people chasing power do the 113K swap first then mod from there.

Ya no one really tried making power with the m113 with boost but it would be interesting to test out if you could make 500whp with a rear mount turbo reliably it would be cheaper then a m113k swap and easier to do. I mite have to test it out soon I have a holset HX40W sitting around I'll probably have to get upgraded injectors and pump but would be cool to see what just a turbo and tune can make then go from there. A kleemann supercharger makes like 400+ to wheels so I know that will be easy but 500+whp would be nice to see that would have to be the goal if I actually tried.
Yes some parts are forged but not all the main differences is the compression it's way lower so it's better for boost. I wonder what if you lower compression on the NA m113 buy spacing heads.
That's a amazing build but not what im asking I would like to know what power a stock m113 NA motor with boost can take but still be reliably like a rear mount turbo.
You can do upwards of 600 whp with e85 on the na m113. The rods are the week point but can be swapped with the m113k rods and you loose some compression in the process.
I actually am moving from the m113k platform to here.
reasons being lighter car, better gearing, higher compression means more power. These engines sell for around $1000 so who cares if it pops.
With cats deleted there is a decent amount of room on the passenger side to fit the turbo, I don’t think you would have to do rear mount. I have some stock m113k injectors that should work for your power level

This is the route I’m going
Dude that's so sick and thank you for the info everyone just says swap it or pay a crazy amount of money for no power so thanks for actually answering the questions I have. That build looks sick that's a c55 right how will you be mounting the procharger I would love to see more about this build do you have a thread opened about it? And how much power are you planning on pushing.
Thanks making my own path with this c55. These motors put a ls to shame, all aluminum v8 for 1000 compared to 3000
I’m going to make a bracket to connect it to some existing bolt holes on the front of the engine. The procharger is rated for 1300hp, but realistic I’d like to see 1000 whp.
Im just about finished rebuilding the car so I’m just going to enjoy it for the summer.

1000whp from a m113 what mods to motor will you do? Or are you just testing the limits of the motor?
We have experience with both M113 and M113k. Both rods are Forged and hyperutectic pistons. The M113 rods have an oil Port in the. M113 has higher compression pistons. We have made over 600whp on M113 motor before. Didn't Dyno the built m113k setup when we finished it but trapped 146mph
I’ll do stock bottom end with arp headstuds, see where that gets me. Then do m113k rods and fresh rings and bearings
Thats not a bad plan i was so confused because people are saying 500whp would be max and that seems low and they would say ya spend 40k and make 600whp just so much hate thanks for actually writing facts and not just what you think it can do.

So would you say what im thinking of doing is alright I want to do a rear mount or really anywhere it fits I have a holset cummins turbo I got for free I was thinking of putting that on and running low boost just to make around 500whp. would that be safe and what would be any problems that could come up like tuning, fuel, trans, and any motor problems that would hold me back? It seems to be a really strong motor from what I have bin reading and the trans is pretty much the same as a e55 and those hold 650whp so the only thing I can think of that would stop me would be fuel system and if thats the case I could install everything to support e85 or just E55 fuel parts. If headbolts would be a problem I could get ARP and maybe even a spacer to lower compression. But really im just trying to do this with as little parts and money as possible just turbo install and everything need for it I dont want to go to much into it.

Wait? Who's posting facts and who's posting what you want to hear? That link I posted with $40k spent to make 600whp is a proven setup. One that's way too expensive, but it also works day in and day out. Find me a turbo'ed c55 you can replicate and we'll talk again. Just make sure it will rev to redline sitting in a parking lot and don't forget to weld that diff..
Judging by your previous questions and posts, this will never happen anyway, so what does it matter?
Facts: My m113 lived years at 535 fwhp and pump gas. Saw daily , ligtht track use and many trips down the strip. So I can't believe I was at the limits with only special care in using good oil.
Suggestion: I was quoted $16k for a fully built long block with sleeves and ported heads. This doesn't necessarily make hp, but it would increase displacement and eliminate rod/piston/deck issues as that was with race rods, forged pistons, and iron sleeves with head studs. I can aim anyone in that direction if they desire. I was talking to them about a max effort M113k for future project.

Please send me the information I am definitely interested in that upgrade. I had a supercharger and nitrous On my C 55 and I believe my block is cracked. So for now the car is sitting waiting to be a project car again!!
