supercharger problem !!!!! need help
hey guys i have a slk 32 amg and when i'm on the highway going about 60mph and then floor it. i get no power. it seems as if the supercharer is not working and just a v6. the car doesn't have the power anymore, it just doesn't go. do you guys think it might be the pump that connect to the intercooler??? can you guys tell me whats wrong with my car thanks.

IC Pump - Remove the passenger front wheel and open the access panel (forward). You should feel it run.
SC Clutch - You may want to also see if the SC clutch is engaging, you can remove the electrical connection on the clutch and see if there is no difference.

Seems unlikely, the S/C is probably just sourced to MB as one unit and AMG probably just added the clutch mechanism. So if it is the S/C clutch you should be able to just repair/replace the clutch. It probably is the I/C water pump, as other posts have alluded to this as a weakness in the current AMGs.
One way you might be able to tell: If the car is cold, and you start it up do you get any feeling of a normal level of power if you immediately launch the car. If its the clutch the S/C will never engage and you'll never make boost. If its the water pump, the S/C should engage until the IAT goes above a certain threshold, and then to prevent heat damage the S/C should be disengaged by the clutch. (Unless the IAT jump up so quickly with a broken water pump that you don't have time to test this).

take it to the dealer, change the I/C water pump, or as they call it, the electrical auxilery water pump, get the car scanned and erase the fault code.... now you are good to go spank some M3s again!!!

When the IC pump or sc clutch problem comes up, does the car show any kind of faults, errors, or check engine light? Also, when this happens, does the supercharger stop working completely?...like you won't be able to hear the supercharger whine and its a pretty obvious loss of power?
