Was C55 worth the $60k

I test drove a silver C55 this week. That thing was a monster. The suspension was fairly stiff and the engine growl was addicting. I have one on order scheduled for Sept. delivery. To any C55 owners...was it worth the $60k?

C32 used to be the best bang for the buck AMG. Now, I think the C55 is....I even think MB should set a higher list price.

It's hard to wait a couple of months for mine to come in. It's car buying season and I'm itching. They had a $10k markup on the one I test drove which is a joke.....

People are balking at the 60K MSRP, they may be SOL trying to get any markup. I love the product but its hard not to notice the S4 being a full 10K less and certainly a competent car. Not that I would buy one but I did look at the CTSV

On the other hand a loaded M3 is 60K.

04 E55
To me the choice would be tough, but it would be between a C55 and an S4, not a C55 and an M3. Being from New York the S4 would be my choice. All wheel drive, stick shift and lower price make it the practical and fun winner. But for many the great looks, luxury and speed of the C55 will win out. MAJOR upgrade with the Harmon Kardon Logic 7 system. I have it in my 04 E55 and having had a C32 with a disappointing sound system, I am well aware what a great move this was by Mercedes. Put a stick in that baby and it would conquor the world.

I would take the C55 in a heartbeat! $60K for a C-Class isn't horrible.

I dont get it, whats wrong with 60k for a c class? is it just the name thats bad? the car lives up to what other 60k cars in there class can do. And if you are looking for the performance the C55 has, what other MB can u get for 60k? (besides the SLK55).

Spending 60k on my C55 makes me feel that my CLK430 was a rip off. That car is just crappy in every way compared to my C55. And the C55 is only about 5k more.

If you want to talk about rip off, 70K+ for the CLK55 coupe & 81K+ for the cabriolet is ****ed up, considering for 10k more & the same price for the latter you can get an E55.

Then u get these people sayin the CLK is still a C-class. So that makes it even more of a rip off. :p

hahahahahahahaha

I guess it's the same reason I would never buy a Mitsubishi EVO. Sure it's a well performing car, but it's still a Lancer...
