Back from SEMA...

There were some pretty intense cars at SEMA this year. I saw SilvaC32s and it looked intense. It looks much better painted and the lines fit the car but I would have done so alittle more subtle.
I'm sure several of you went, what was your favorite car there?
At first I thought the new modded mustangs were cool but there were way too many! My favorite car would be between the blue m3 with the flared fenders and the computers inside or the truck outside with the body seperated from the frame with the different Americanwars paint scheme.

UPLOAD THE ATTACHMENTS
The first 2 pics are Silva' C32s car
The third is an M3 with the widebody stying
The fourth is a silverado that is chromed completely yet still looks operational because there is a starter that is well hidden and has power going to it...
The fifth......To each his own opinion

Hey

Is Jerry running a set of 540R's? Wtf? Jerry you b**tard! Tell me what size are you running 19x?? F and R? Are the center black anodized or shot peened? Also tell me the tires? Are those Michelins PS2? Love the Micheline word on the sidewall. Where did you get them and how much? That blue M3 belongs to Craig L if i'm not mistaken.

I liked the M3 wide body too... very well done.

My dissapointment with Sema was that there were way too many parts and toys for non european cars... by Wednesday I had walked all the tire section, that is where I saw the chromed SL600... the pics of that Chromed SL look way better than the car in person...

There were a few SLRs (I saw 2 in different exhibits).. I took pics of the SLR, and just today I got back to California to leave to Arizona... so no chance to upload those pics until prob Sun.

Cheers!

Thats Craig Liebermann's (spelling?) M3, that is not flared fenders, that is a Eisenhaus imported Flossman gtr body kit (not cheap). IIRC he was the first in the US to put that kit on, currently there are 2 E46 M3's with this kit on in the states. Craig spent $30k to make his car look like that. Heres the complete write up and conversion with pics.

A lot of the cars were too busy looking.

Some of the old American were better looking than of a lot of the foreign cars, which were mostly just gaudy. I have not had time to upload my SEMA pictures.

Nice cars: The Yellow Metro in the Kicker booth, the black 57 chevy outside, the blue 50? convertable buick or Cad?, the black & red Chevy SSR?, the yelow/white 55 chevy, the polished Kleeman blowers on the Wald MB, the paint job of the martini martian olives on the black hummer, the white 37 cord, the silver Ford Daytona, GT40 and Shelby.
There was an interesting red japanese car, with backward black lettering, outside. There were some nice Audis.

Attractions; watching the drifting in the parking lot. The blue Pioneer Skyliner was amazing. The Ford escort (V8?) sounded pretty mean. The burgundy Cobra Mustang drove pretty good. The turbo GTO was having a hard time on the track.

Most of the Mercedes, there, other than Wald & did not really look very good. Silva's C32 looks better in pictures, than in person. There were several chrome and polished aluminum cars there.

Also, the female models were there, as usual.

Saw Sinbad & Hulk Hogan roaming around (they are pretty distinctive looking).

Does someone have a side pic of the C32? The pics on this thread really make the rear fender additions look sort of out-of-place. I hoe the side shots show a more flowing addition to the bodywork.

I'd like to see some also. The widebody just looks to square looking. Almost like boxes on the car. At least when comparing it to that nice M3s widebody.

I can see what you are saying too. Overall I think it's pretty good tho. It's just that the wheel housing on the M3 widebody extend to the top of the fender which on Jerry's car it doesn't. If Jerry had done it like the rear DTM W203 then it would look and fit much better w/ the line of the body.

Either way, i give him props for doing the job first! I would not have the guts to do it without seeing it on another car first.

The M3 and C32 both have really smooth lines. The M3 body kit has no ridid lines with the exception of the vents and a few minor things. The widebody on the c32 however has many sharp points that don't match the smooth lines on the car. However, if I ever rolled up next to him at a light and he smoked me off the line with my tires still spinning, how the kit looked wouldn't matter. I think he could have done it smoother but the simple fact that he had the guts to do it is enough for me.... Good Job on the car

One question... Why ? Aside from the factory CLK DTR, Widebody kits look a little "Ricey" to me.

hi guys, i just got bak! wow... this was the LONGEST i have ever stayed in Vegas.

i am running iforged's new style, 4" lip in front and 5" lip in back! =)

oh yea... the car will go bak into the shop to do some clean up, i mite have to custom make a front bumper to make things look right, and also a rear diffuser and a DTM style wing.

match the widebody with the Carlsson CR-S front end...it would look much better than the AMG IMO.

Kudos for the hard work on that kit, but sorry it looks pretty wacky, def not my tastes. I loved your car before all these new bolt ons.
