Unhappy My baby is at the shop

My poor car is at the shop getting fixed. I was out of town for a few days, so my car was stored nice & comfy in the garage. I got back last night & decided to take her out for a spin, when i was pulling out of the garage i noticed a puddle on the floor were my car had been parked. I got out of my car & went up to the puddle to check it out, it was a pretty big puddle of a realtively thick orange/rust color like liquid. So i took her to my dealer this morning & my service advisor told me that it was the tranny fluid leaking out. He said that all they need to do is replace the seal. He also told me that a lot of 05' W203's are having this problem. So in case it happens to you, now you know & knowing is half the battle

She's only been gone a couple of hours & i miss her already

oh dear , I am sorry to hear the C55 is bleeding.
I am a bit worried the harsh C55 suspension really not doing too much good to the car when I am being on bumpy roads all the time...
Or as you said, it is a common problem on all W203s

My service advisor just called me, the car is fixed & ready to go

He told me that they just had to replace an o-ring in the seal. I'm glad it wasn't anything big.

Hey bro, it could have been worse... The O-ring issue in the Space Shuttle Challenger caused it to blow up ...

Yeah, that does not sound very assuring. WTF, is up with that?? I'm going to bring this up to my service advisor & see what he says.

I brought it up with my service advisor and he responded with "oh really? I guess we'll have to wait and see if it holds up".... I better not have to replace my O-ring seals every few thousand miles.. Maybe Mercedes is slow at fixing problems like this. As far as I know there's still no recall on the vibrating trunk button. Whenever I demonstate the sound system for friends, I inconspicuously have to hold the trunk button in place so that it doesn't vibrate. It's a good thing the C55 isn't a stick shift or I'd be shifting with my right hand and holding the button with my left. :p
Eric....

Glad to hear you got your car fixed. If the new O-ring presents a problem down the road, is it possible to push the lemon law for something like this, providing it happens a 3rd time?

also had this issue and got it fixed (this was a month or so ago).

Also got the trunk button rattle fixed. They ordered a new part, then when installing they 'insulated' it. I dont know exactly what they did but the problem is gone for now.

Just goin get my Euro Command installed this weekend then I'll be happy that she's just where I want her.... That is until winter hits here, and the 'real' build up begins

MiamiC55, I see in your sig you have a Toureg V6. What engine is it, we only have the 2.5TDI, 4.2 V8 and V10TDI here.

3.2 liter 240hp, 229 lbs-ft torque, 24 valve V6.

Cheers

I like the Toureg more than the Cayenne. Not say the Porsche price, the 4 litre Toureg already costs a fortune here in HK. How is it feel with 3.2 litre for this heavy body. I probably replace one of my three cars with a 4 wheel when the day comes.

It's definetely better with the V8 (what car isn't, lol), but i think that the V6 is sufficient. It's my wife's car, & she loves it. If it was for me, i would have to get the V8, especially since i'm used to my car's power. I also factored in the high gas prices & we all know that V8's are thirsty engines. It costs about $40 to fill up our car, but it lasts for a long time, it's very good in gas mileage.
