I am proud to announce that Limited Slip Differiential (30%) for the C32/C55 will be available from our company in the spring of 2005. It is the LSD made by AMG Unique Manufacturing and will be available in very limited quantity. The LSD will turn your car into a totally different machine, no matter its a 32 or 55. What could be better than to get a LSD developed and made by AMG directly?

Also available is the totally redesigned AMG Nurburgring Suspension for the C55/C32. Other goodies include AMG Carbon Fiber Shift Knob, Carbon Fiber interior trimming and AMG F1 steering wheel in Carbon Fiber.

We are the ONLY vendor in the entire North America who can obtain these very special hard to find parts. For ordering information, please contact me directly.

If "AMG" makes a limited slip for the C32/C55, why wouldn't it be available in cars sold by MB? What am I missing here?

Roozy, I am afraid no. These are all made to order parts by AMG Unique Manufacturing and nobody stocks them. Plus, these parts will be available in spring of 2005.

Also, what would the install entail? Would it need to have the ECU reprogrammed?

The product is old news and has been on the amg website for a long time. Prices for the item and the cost of labour (as a guide only) are on this website.

www.mercedes-benz.com/amg

you will find all the details in the MANUFAKTUR price list in the brochures section.

Yes we know, i posted this a while back, but the problem was that we could not order these parts here in the USA or have them delivered, i tried. Seems like Harris has saved the day, again

Good job Harris at finding a way to bring the LSD to North America through your secret channels! How does it differ from the Kleemann unit at around 2500 which use clutch packs and locks at 40%? Did you ever consider financing a small run of the Quaife LSD's at about $2000-2500 for a dozen? If you will consider it, or want to get a group buy together, I will pay 100% up front and wait the 120 days for delivery. Maybe you can source this directly from England. All we need is eleven other buyers...

I'd be in on it as well. However I think I could have friends source from AMG directly as well. Gonna have to look into that as well as the suspension.

Yeah, AMG LSD has been out for a couple of years. But I guess you are missing the point.....it is ABSOLUTELY IMPOSSIBLE for anyone to get the parts out of AMG Manufaktur. And those pricing are at least 2 years old.

Well, you (or anyone) can try. But I can bet for anything that they wont sell it to you or ship it out of Germany.

Steve: I'll explain the difference privately. If I am able to obtain the LSD developed and researched by AMG, why do we have to go to the Qualife way? What could be better to have a genuine AMG product installed on an AMG car? It will be more expensive than Kleemann or Quaife, but for the added peace of mind and superior AMG quality, I am sure most people will find it well worth the money. I have always said that all AMG cars should have come with LSDs to begin with.

- If AMG makes the LSD, what car(s) is it used in?
- Would the dealer do the install? (likely not I think).
- Any driveline warranty concerns?
- What about s/w (ESP, etc) then not being optimized?

Rgds,
Norm

I would think all of the models in europe have the option of getting it.

Very good questions. Anyone got an answer or idea?

I guess it's not impossible if you are able to do it. I am sure you can get it out of them if you are local and can visit.
