C32 Full Exhaust System

I have scoured the net for this, but I cannot find anyone who makes a full system for the C32. I am talking about headers, hiflow cats, resonator, and muffler.

Aaron: Here is what available:

1. Headers - Supersprint. We are also looking into making our own. I will post details shortly.

2. H-pipe with cats. AMG pieces are very nice, 2.5'' (60 mm) pipes with 4 hiflow cats. There might me some power in cutting out last two cats, probably on Stage II and above car.

3. Resonator with rear muffler. Definitely remove your resonator, it will wake the car's sound, without being too 'ricey'. Figure about 4-7 HP gain.

Eisemann make an exhaust for C240/320, it suppose to fit C32. Make sure the inlet is 2.75'' (70 mm), otherwise stock AMG muffler is better.

Supersprint is also suppose to make C32 specific muffler sometime in 2005.

Thanks for the info on the supersprint stuff vadim.

You know, I cannot beleive no one makes a 3" exhaust for our car. A tuned C32 could definitly make use of an exhaust larger then 2.5".

Remember it is dual 2.5'' pipes into single 2.75''. Yes, I would think 3'' would be worth some HP. However, I love it when the car is quiet - it keeps it's Q-factor better.

all i have is the rear muffler but i love the Eisenmann Race so far. sorry i forgot to weigh it when putting it in or measuring the piping size, but it is bigger than the stock c32 piping because it comes with an adaptor for which you slide over and weld on after cutting the stock exhaust pipe. for this reason i think it should be about 3" piping. but this does not go all the way back...just as far as you cut the stock exhaust to weld it on the Eisenmann (rear section only). so the whole piping is not, what i think to be, 3" - but it is a bit more than the muffler.

eisenmann told me that there is a *slight* reduction of backpressure, i think about 0.5psi (6.7psi to 6.2psi or so) which enables it to be slightly more free-flowing but is made sure to not drop below the minimum threshold of backpressure...which in that case below 6.2psi would hurt performance. not sure if this is specific to the race-model which i got, however. i am glad that they did some technical analysis and engineering for performance-considerations, though, if i'm paying over $1100 for a rear muffler.

i too, am thinking of headers but am not sure what's best yet as i'm waiting for evosport to release their headers. i think MKB makes headers and cats but really such european companies are expensive and i don't know if such an expensive modifications is significant for performance gains. the ROI does not seem very high to me, i mean sound will be better but for performance, not sure how good it will be for the money value.

my eisenmann race is definitely not quiet but i think it's very nice sounding and one of the few available for c32.

You can get the muffler itself if you wished. However, you can get the section 1 as well as the section 2 midpipes along with it. It'll show you a pricing of it when you get to the final page.
