Door locks on C55
I have noticed that on occassion when I open the driver's side door when exiting the vehicle that only my door unlocks. I would say this happens every 1 out of 5 times. I actually like this feature since I have a young child in the backseat. It seems that there is no reference to it in the manual. On all other occassions ALL doors unlock when you open the driver side. Is tis an electrical glitch? BTW I allow the doors to lock automatically when I drive off.

So it's just not mine then. This past weekend I visited my parents and had 4 people riding in the car and it seemed a couple of times the back doors wouldn't unlock without me pressing the unlock button up front. Later that day it worked like it should. Weird.

Any updates / findings?
This happens to my C32 too. What is the secret? I cannot find it in the owner's manual.

I presume all of you have checked the LCD display Menus as whether there is an option to set. If it does not have such option, it means this scenario is MB's 'safety design'? Anyhow, there is nothing stopping the passengers to get out from the car; but to stop the people getting into the car. I kind of like this because I have heard numerous stories that some gansters in the streets will open your car doors and rob your handphones , wallets when your are parked still....

Happens on mine too. I had the dealer re-sync the locks, & it only lasted as long as he had it (naturally). I think it's indeed a SW bug. I also note that sometimes when the other doors don't unlock, I can open the unlocked driver's door hours later from the outside, and all the other doors *then* unlock.

Can somebody in U.S. volunteer to call MB USA how to use this feature? In here, Canada, they don't know this feature, they just keep telling me to look at the manual.
