2000 C43
My 2000 C43 finally arrived friday morning from Colorado, very nice. This is the fourth C43 I've owned....I probably won't get rid of this one...I am told year 2000 is extrememly rare. I'm trying to decide on some wheels, suggestions/pics are welcomed. Thanks.

RENNTECH MONOLITES!! i hear they are the lightest wheels out there, along with being very strong. removing weight in rotational mass makes a pretty good difference, not to mention you may shed 60lbs between the 4 wheels

I've very happy with my renntechs if your looking for some wheels. I think they stopped making them though...

sounds like airplane
awesome car!
monolites are absolutely NOT the lightest wheel "out there"- but they'd be pretty cool on your car.
I'd personally stick to an AMG design though

My 98 has fold down rear seats. I'm sure the 2000 does as well.

i think all c43's came standard with fold-downs. HID lights, however, werent standard ive seen a few without the HID's. the headlight wiper is coupled with the HID's. no wiper no hid

i would typically agree with you since im a big fan of neat and classy upgrades without straying from the brand. however, renntech IS practically AMG. The owner of renntech, Hartmut Feyhl's description can be read on the renntechmercedes website
"Born in Affalterbach, Germany, he spent twelve years at AMG Germany before being appointed Technical Director of AMG North America. During his time at AMG, he was instrumental in the development of the famous four valve "Hammer" engine, and also AMG's four cylinder racing engines. In 1989, he left AMG to form RENNtech, a high-performance tuner of Mercedes-Benz vehicles. "
when taking these facts into consideration, i think its OK to put renntech wheels on a mercedes, moreso than ANY other brand other than AMG of course...

S500 LWB ( W221 ) - CL63 Biturbo ( W216 ) CL 55 Kompressor ( W215 Sold ) C43 AMG ( W202 Sold )
If you go into the picture gallery 08/19/2007 you can see my 2000 C43.
As for the wheels there is only one wheel for the C43 and that is 18" Monoblocks.

Mess it up...are you new to this site or something? So every MB here that sits on HRE's, Renntechs, or similar is messed up too? Kinda strange comment to make considering the company here.
And if AMG made a wheel that was forged, strong, and as light as the renntechs I would have bought them instead. I love the look of the AMG's but they are just too heavy and not wide enough for the tires I want to run.
BTW, sweet chromies, how much do you use the tapedeck in that ride?

nitro, have you explored the option of putting an intercooler behind the front bumper, i think there would be some room there. wouldnt an intercooler give you some better numbers?
