Wheel size on a C43

HI all:

I was just wondering how large of a wheel size I can go without modifying the car (roll fenders, etc etc.) I do not plan on lowering my car just yet, but I might upgrade the suspension in the future.

I was thinking about running 19x8-8.5. Will it fit w/o problems?

Thanks

DLS

Lowered on H&Rs 255 40 17 rubbed on the rear. I think if you stay with 245 30 19 you should be fine, maybe even 245 35 19. For the fronts 225 35 19.

Sounds good to me. Will it make a difference if I ran a 19x8 or 19x8.5? I was leaning more to the 19x8.5.

Thanks.

Damn I thought that AMG already rolled the fenders stock and someone could put 8.5 in front and 9.5 in rear no prob? (I could be wrong) I would just watch the offset of the rims and you should be fine with 8.5!!!

I am not too sure about AMG already rolling the fenders for you. I think that I will run 18x8 or 8.5's instead of the 19's. I am planning on lowering my car and think the 18 setup seems better for what I want. Gotta save up the money first!

the c36/c43 does indeed have rolled fenders courtesy of amg, compared to normal c-class

Hey thats really cool. If that is the case, then I will definitely reevaluate the wheel set up I will roll on. How wide can I run on an 18 inch wheel with a lowering of about 1.5 inches?

Thanks

4 sure you could go 18x8.5 front 18x9 rear but you could still prob go 18x9.5 in back with the right offset!!! Anyone know the exact OFFSET needed to go (8.5 front - 9.5 rear)???

Also, does anyone know a good offset for the 18x8.5 (f) and a 18x9.0 (r)?

Thanks, I'm just exploring my options.

Wheel sizes

If you have an AMG C-class, you can run up to 8.5 on the front and 10 on the back. That is the setup I run and it works great. Now I did have to modify the rear just a little but not much. Due to the rolled fenders from the factory (AMG), you don't have to worry that much about rubbing as long as you have the right offset. The offset I am using on both front and rear is 30mm. The stock AMG wheels (if memory serves me right) are a 38mm offset. For 8.5 to 9.5" wheels, I would suggest using a 32mm offset...... Hope this helps......

Thanks A Lot Wesss! Do you have any pics plz!!! I would love to C your ride. Are you able to still make a U-Turn without rubbing on the inside fender??? If not then that's definately the OFFSET to use!!!

No prob. I'll have to take some additional pics of my car. My hard drive crashed some time ago and I lost all pictures. I think there should be some pics of my car floating around this site somewhere or at least in the archives. Look for a black C43 w/ AMG SL 2 piece wheels.

I have no problems whatsoever making U-Turns. No rubbing.

Is anybody going to the eurocar show on Sunday 11th at California Speedway (Fontana). I think I will be there!!!
