Mileage on your C43's

What kind of mileage are you guys getting with your automobiles, specifically the C43....I'm averaging about 23mpg highway at about 75mph +/- 5mph. My car is completely stock.

I range from 18-21 mixed city and highway. Best highway mileage I've gotten is around 25, though I can't recall my average speed. Mine is a 1999 C43 with 48,000 miles on the clock.

My last trip home to Kentucky, 860 miles, doing around 75 in Virginia and 85 in West Virginia, 74 in Kentucky, I got just under 25mpg. My average driving to wing night on Monday's and poker night on Fridays is around 23. All stock.

Thanks for the replies fellas...my "whitey" has 86K on the clock. My only peeve, is the relatively small tank - 12 gallons. My ol' 1983 911 SC has 23 gallons and would get 26mpg - I could break, on occasion, 500 miles on one tank.

You're correct about the capacities for the fuel tank....only problem, maybe I need to look into this. I'm getting about 280 per tank load (maybe 290) and I'm getting the low fuel light - I don't tend to push it once that light is on.

How is that possible that you have a 12 gallon tank? Very strange!

That was my mistake, it has a 16.4 gallon. I always end up filling it with 12 gallons, never let it get to "E"

Anyways, I changed the fuel filter this past monday (03-06-2006) and today 03-09-2006, is the first time I have cracked the tripmeter over 300 miles with one tank load prior to the fuel level light illuminating (306 miles to be exact) - this includes some city driving as well.
