Off to AMG - courtesy of "AMG Private Lounge"
Well everyone,put my name on the board next to Chappy as winners from the AMG Private Lounge.I am off to Affalterbach and Nürburgring this weekend for some DTM racing.As required , I will post pics and have to post a essay on the weekend's events.As I review my itinerary one of the coolest things is after I arrive in Affalterbach the kind folks at AMG will throw me the keys to a brand new AMG vehicle ( no , they did not tell me what model ) for the 3 HOUR DRIVE ON THE AUTOBAHN TO Nürburgring ! It's been 21 years since I've been on the autobahn but I'd like to think that my driving on the interstates and roadways of NJ have kept my driving skills sharp enough to raise some hell on their roadways.I'll post eveything when I get back!

damn Dave thats freakin amazing!!!! That has to be the coolest trip ever. Definately let us know how it goes and take tons of pics. Be safe bro and It sounds like your gonna love every minute of it.

You lucky ****!!
My mother was on vacation over there a few months back. She actually stayed near the ring for a few nights. Her knowing nothing about it I convinced her to snap a few pictures of the track. The surrounding towns in Germany look to be amazing like a postcard and she still talks about her stay. Your a lucky man, enjoy!! Check out the Pubs too!!!

Wow, Congrats. I just read this now as I was in Europe myself until this past Sunday. (Hungary where I was has for 2 weeks has pretty good drivers who strickly drive like the Autobaun [they stay to the right except to pass!] even if legally only up to 90 or 100 mph w/o risk of being fined)
So does that mean you've already went, and back, or are going the weekend of the AMGFest? ...I guess I'll find out this weekend in either case if I hear back or not.
So was it an essay that won you the trip? Let's see it if so! I love a good heartfelt read.
