Help needed quickly please

Hello chaps.

I have the opportunity to buy a 5.5l AMG SL engine 2003 model.
As far as I can see it looks the same as my 4.3.
Will this go straight in?
He also has the supercharger.
Will this bolt on to my engine.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Wayne

WOW!

There are a few C43 with the N/A 210 M113 5.5L but I've never seen one with the Kompressor V8 out of the 211's.

I think you would need the ECU as well for that to properly run. Check out the CLK section as I recall someone with a 208 installing an AMG kompressor motor. It would be a very similar case with the 202.

The 210 5.5's are essentially the same 4.3 just bored out a bit. With this said the transplants are from what I've heard, plug and play.

However, the 211's 5.5 is a bit different and with the forced induction you are going to have to deal with the ECU in regard to tunning or complete replacement.

I can tell you this my friend....if you have the time, patience, and $ you will have the sickest C43 yet. The power potential of the 5.5 kompressor motors is crazy in regard to modifications. With the proper install and upgrades you could be looking at the first 10 second C43!!!

You might want to post this on the W211 AMG forum...it is a pretty active forum with a lot of tech/mechanical savvy guys on there. That would be a monster if you could shoe horn that engine in your car!

Update

Well I missed out on this one. I couldnt get the ECU sorted for it and it had to be bought quick. I am a little dissapointed because it went for such a good price.
The engine sold for £330 and the supercharger also sold for £330 so that is $650.
Also they had only covered 38000 miles.

WHOA dude!

here you are again insulting people.

Please let this be the last insulting.

You don't know people's financial situations, mental situations and throwing these insults. I am no Internet police but, I can't be quiet here. The guy did not do anything to you, say anything about you, why insult him?

if you think that is a mistake, let it be his mistake...

PLEASE!

2005 E55, 1959 220s Cabriolet, some other stuff too...
You could have bought it and put it on ebay and made a cool $3k in a few weeks just flipping it to someone else. That was foolish...

OK, if it was money he needed...go to prosper.com borrow the money at 25% annually...buy the engine, flip it , pay the loan back in 90 days...pay $50 in interest and pocket $2950.00

Heres the deal.

The item were originally for sale on Ebay and thy didnt sell for any more than the amount I said above. Therefore it was a gamble to just buy and try to sell on.

Secondly when I found these items there was only a day left on the auction and I needed to make a decision quickly.

He didnt have the ECU. He admittied that there may be a timing problem. (dont know what he meant by that)
Could my transmission take it considering it is having small problems?

I had these aspects and many more to consider. (NOT THE MONEY)!!

Oh and E320Newbie as Vardar said you had no idea of the situation so how can you comment?

One more thing.

I have a couple of other 210 55 engines in mind for similar money and it is up to me if I get one is it not??

maybe the reason he was selling it in the first place

better to pay a little more for a documented w210 m113 5.5 (that will go into your car w/o too much hassle) than buy a cheap dodgy blown 5.5 from a 211 that will end up costing an arm and a leg to install anyways. I would say that in the bigger picture you made the right decision. That motor was better left to someone w/ an E55 who would only need to worry about fixing whatever might be wrong with the motor, rather than having to pay for that and installation into a car that was never meant to have the engine. Just my .02

I have access to a 5.5L F/I motor bt was turned off by the application. it would require extra water lines, radiator for the heat exchanger, harness and ECU,amongst other little stuff I'm told. Therefore I'm just gonna go Quaiff diff, headers with exhaust. N/A for me baby!
