help boosting car
well since winter is here and i have my car parked i figured id try my new key... since the battery is in the back i go and tryo to open it... frozen.. is there any other way to boost the battery without getting i nthe trunk? please help! im dying to hear my baby!

A lot of german cars have spots under the hood where the car can be jumped (boosted) as well. I would look for a red terminal under the hood with a + sign on it, and then look for a place to ground the black negative clamp. My father's E430, my M3, my sisters' 323i, 325ix, and my mothers ML430 all have this.

u think if i use one of those battery packs that u can plug into the cigarette lighter, it will charge the battery.. ive seen it on tv... what u guys think..?

that might work... u can also c if the line will stretch far enough to go thru the rear seats.. would work if the rear seats flip down.. does it?

first of all how the **** am i going to boost my car from that? if thats what ur talking about... that mini box with when u pop it open has like 3 differnt things in there... all way to small to clamp onto..... and even if i get it clamped.. wtf am i going to ground it on....... do me a favour and take a picture... cause this is so f-ing frustrating.. ive been trying to figure this **** out for 2 ****ing weeks with Zero luck.... HELP!!!!!!!!!

man come home everyday and stare at ur dead C43 and ull understand,, all i wanna do it open my damn trunk... help me or not i dont care... im just triing everything to get in the damn trunk its so freaking frustrating i wasnt spazzing at anyone on here i was just expressing my frustration.... issues... whatever.. u all know how u feel when something is wrong with ur car so whatever....

it goes in... but wont turn.. that why i need power so i can pop it open.. i have the moter master charger plugged unto the cig lighter.. hope that gives me enough juice to open the trunk...

if your trunk lock cylinder is frozen, how about trying one of those "lock deicer" chemicals? http://cgi.ebay.com/Frozen-Car-Door-...QQcmdZViewItem
or, did you try popping it into neutral and rolling it into your garage (not sure if you have one), and then heating that thing up with a kerosene heater or something to get the temp up. or maybe a hairdryer directly on the lock itself?

still dead... no garage... its in a covered parkade but not heated... tried all the chemicals.. wont turn.. its weird.. just would love to get some power to her.,. the lighter trick was a joke and a half... so yeah im still scratching my head... dont wanna wait till may ... haha

ive never had to jump my car, but a friend of mine did say that he jumped his car from the engine bay. he said that roadside assistance did it, so he couldnt really give details. if you are having difficulty figuring it out, how about calling a tow company and pay them 40 bucks or whatever to do it for you? or, last resort, how about bump starting it?
