Just curious

How many C36 cars came to the US between 95 and 97? I am just curious. Thanks if anyone has any info on this. JJ

What I would like to see is a breakdown by color and by year.

1018 exactly, but I have fully doccumented at least 6 crashes (totalled) with VIN#s, So that I know of officially 1012, but I am very confident that there are probably less than 1000 left, if not 950 or less.

1997 being the most rare, 1 of 236 (although its lower now, few of those crashes were 97s), 1995 roughly 325 (already down to 322 that I know of) and 1995 were 444 (but again less now)

Im pretty sure those numbers are right or very close, I know the total for sure was 1018, so my math is off a bit, but its roughly around there.

I did on C36-AMG.com but the site is down for maintenance. I have the numbers somewhere just too lazy to look it up.

I tried to find out exact number but its almost impossible b/c its hard to know how many truly exist without contacting all insurance companies to see how many have been wrecked & etc and most won't even give out that info.

yeah plus theres probably dozens of small local insurance companies people might have been using when they wrecked their c36's so calling progressive, allstate, and statefarm is not going to conclude your search

"When the C-Class succeeded the 190 series in 1993, AMG unveiled the first vehicle jointly developed and born out of the agreement – the Mercedes-Benz C36 AMG, backed by a full Mercedes-Benz warranty and service organization. Initial demand for this 282-horsepower, six-cylinder screamer was limited by production to just under 1,000 cars over a three-year period.

look, why are you asking people on the forum if you wont believe them, go research it, there were less c36's manufactured than 43's and we all know how few 43's were manufactured.

good one, but having said that, clearly youre concerned about your own sexual situation, so good luck with that.

as for citation, i dont know if wikipedia is credible to you but if you look up the c class history it mentions something about having manufactured 5200 c36's worldwide over all 3 years. hope that helps.

How many people do you think ever registered a c36 on your site? What I meant by registry is a list of current owners and vins....

Would be nice to have dont ya think??

I'm wondering how it was determined that there were fewer C36's manufactured than C43's. AMG supplied the following global sales numbers with the W203 C55 press kit:

C36 AMG: 5,400
C43/55 AMG (W202): 3,600
C32 AMG: 8,100
C30 CDI AMG: 1,600

Not looking to fight, it's an honest question
