Hi guys long time no see.
MB C43
I just wonder if you guys noticed, that if your original car audio system shuts off by it self?
I have the MB Audio 30 system with Bose amp.
When I touch the deck it sometimes shuts off by it self when trying to increase the volume.
I asked a mechanic who used to work on MB cars, he claims it has to do with some atmosphere problems like satelites or what ever he ment.
So I'd like to know if this happened to any of you or is it my crappy tape deck, busting my chops.

hey buddy, is it possible to take out the deck and use something else?
coz i have the stock bose system that is integrated with the tapedeck.
othervise i need to buy a new amp and speakers.
this shut off on my tapedeck happens randomly a few times in 6 months or so.
is it if the fingers are a little damp and the tapedeck is sensitive to moist, that it shuts off?
the hand is always a little wet from sweat.

i doubt that, it just sounds like somthing is wrong, with eiher your deck or stock amp. i ran all my stock speakers with a pioneer deck, the deck has a lot of options, so i set all my 4 cabins as mids and tweeters, and all the bass is sent to a flat 12 i got. thats is light, and thin. awesome setup and loud, the stock speakers are great in this car, it's only the decks, if you run an After market deck, juss have wire it to bybass the stock amp. i did it on my 97 C36

my stock stereo didn't fail on me the 1st month i had the car, i took it out for a touch screen navigation. kept my stock amp and speakers, they say "ur supposed to swap it ALL out" but i wasn't interested in investing that time.

where to put amp?
what i wanna know is where to put my amp in my c43 estate? man, i searched everywhere for a space. The changer is under the spare wheel cover and there aint no room in the side panels or under the dash so like where do i put it?
The amp is not very big like its 200 watts blaupunkt so probably 6"x8"x1 1/2" high.

well
do you have that medical kit on ur rear deck? i placed my alpine m605 back there. it's excellent. u may have to pull out that black cradle that holds the medical kit in tho. if not, bolt that sucker up in the trunk under the rear deck.

TommyGunn had a Euro spec radio in his E320, we put it into Jared's old C43 and the system sounded ten times better, PM him to find out what system he had. I know for a fact it was a german radio picked up from ebay.de, and it looked slightly different from US unit, that and it had built in navigation.
