I have a Unichip "piggy back ecu" in my CLK and it is used to adjust the timing and fuel curve, since I am running higher than normal boost (Kleemann) and larger than normal injectors (C32, 40lb).
I don't know of any specific "piggy back ecu's" made for Mercedes, mine is a generic ecu which Unichip happened to have a wiring schematic for (E240). They may or may not have a wiring schematic for a C36, you would need to check with a Unichip dealer and have them search the Unichip archieve and see what is available.
More info on my install at www.clk32k.com
I think C36 tune is $299 but I can probably put in a good word and get you better price, PM me.
check them out.

anyway i thought i'd pop this question on here,
when im driving between 60 n 80MPH my car's rpm tends to dip when i tap the gas lightly for it to pick up, it drops 500RPM then bounces back up
it gets annoying i'm not sure why it does this bt when i hit the pedal own harder it just goes, no rpm dip. so like if i'm doing 60mph at 2500 rpms i tap the gas lightly, it goes to 2000 rpm then back up. hte rpm needle would nt stay steady on the gauge it would like would get all shaky if u will...its not as bad as it sounds tho, car hauls *** when you punch it, bt is it a cable maybe? a sensor? anyone have this probelm? already replaced both 02 sensors, i'm running a straight pipe exhaust with a after market magnaflow highflow cat, no muffler and a stock reso. my buddy has the exact same exhaust setup as me and his car doesn not do this. i really hope it's not my tranny. bt doubt the tranny holds the load everyday witht he way i drive it
. bt please any help or leads would be REALLY appreciated.

the gains are minimal at best with any "mail order" tune like this (unless you are upping the boost on a fi car)

You may be over scavenged.

300-400 bucks for a questionable 10 H.P. is a joke.
$1400 for a "veloce fixed my ecu but offered no gains" is Thievery.
Mercedes changed their tune on the lifetime fluid deal and even issued a TSB for the same 722.6 transmission in the w211 models to have fluid and filter changed at 39,000 miles. That was along time ago in AMG miles

No flush. You have a drain in the pan and one on the torque converter and fluid at autohausaz.com filter and locking clip for the dip stict tube also.I have a delivered price on the dip stick and diy tips. Also diy on benzworld.org w210 section and mercedesshop.com.
Or have an indie do it,after making sure they just drain and use mb spec fluid.
non spec fluids are playing russian roulette.
The trans will shift smoother, last longer, you will not believe the condition of the old fluid that comes out.
No flush,the 722.6 hates flushing
no linty rags, when cleaning out the pan.The 722.6 hates dirt.

go back to the navy and suck some Catti sailor homo.
lol 22,000 for my s500 maybe so but its still worth more then all of your cars and yuor Trailer Park put together

fudge off stop embarassing yourself with your posts anymore troll
your sig, avatar and modification choices certainly point to you being the immature one.
are you also suggesting I also can't afford an ECU? for that matter are you suggesting ohlord's car doesn't have an ECU? do you know what an ECU is?
I will say again that the gains from ECU tuning on an otherwise stock (and i certainly include z06s exhaust mods within the stock umbrella) are not worth the $ or effort. He needs to get the vehicle in tip-top working condition and then, if possible, do some significant modifications.
And just dont ECU it Lenny, you should get a Valentine 1 radar detector.
get some wheels/tires you really like (if you don't already have what you want)
be proud of yourself for having such a cool rare car
wait a while and buy something else (or keep it and plan on dropping HUGE money into it way down the road when you get rich- this is basically my plan)

you could use it and reroute some things and make minimal gains at least- but beyond that you don't have any significant mods whatsoever to look forward to cheaply.
