You’ll have to define 'bolt up'. People bolt 1JZ's and 2JZs in everything. Custom mounts, Toyota transmission (Mk III Supra 5 speeds are plentiful and cheap), a 1JZ bell housing, and a custom driveshaft (which is possibly the cheapest part of the whole transplant) and you’re set. Almost. Did I forget to mention the ECU and custom wiring harness? Yes, I did. And a number of other parts too. I think the Toyota ECU knows whether it's an auto or a manual. Let's just say "it's not as easy as a brake job".

When I said “let’s just say, ‘it’s not as easy as a brake job’”, I didn't mean to imply it was easy. Just the opposite. I have a friend with a 1JZ powered MKIII Supra. After getting the engine, ECU, and a custom harness, it took close to a YEAR for his Supra to leave his garage. There are people who have taken much longer. BTW, his Supra is parked again. It's been about six months this time.
