1995 C 36 AMG; 1992 W124 300E (M103 Ex Mosselman TT KIT) was 320hp @10psi now stock :(
Jay,
Those appear to be W124 E320 manifolds, unless there were W202's with a 3.2L engine? Anyway, for those part numbers: -33-01 rolls to 35, then 37, 39, and finally 44. Those manifolds were used on the M104.99x engines.
The EPC shows that the C36 3.6L manifold rolled five times... from -40-01, then to 36, 38, 40, and finally 45. Those manifolds were used on the M104.94x engines.
Anyway, since -39-01 rolls to -44-01, I think you're both right.

the pipe u have is deff not AMG issue. My guess is its a 320 one. I say look for one in the junk yards. Worst case make one out of SS. And it will make a diff on the power.
My air box was changed to a one frfom the 280 so it was missing the extra intake below the light cluster. So i got me an aluminum 76mm pipe and pressed it into an oval, cut a place for it in the air box intake pipe.
And i felt the diff in power from mid range up.

Beta testing stage has begun! I have figured out a good painting technique to assure good adhesion to the alum. I dip each piece into an etching solution then prime with an etching primer. Satin black enamel follows and is baked on. I have two smaller emblems on each fender and the engine emblem all mounted with 3m double sided adhesive. Looking forward to seeing how they hold up to the harsh weather this winter.

PMed!
Note to those interested:
A few members and I are currently testing these pieces to see how well they hold up. I just don't feel right selling something unless it has been tested and quality can be assured to the consumer. Therefore if you are interested please feel free to let me know, however, I have not set a price yet and cannot accept orders as of now. Thanks for the comments!!

Thanks! But by no means is it cheap. Cheap only if you consider first that the original engine AMG emblem will cost you in excess of $440.00 as it cannot be bought seperatley without the actual plastic covering. Secondly these emblems are pure cast aluminum. OEM is plastic, that cracks, peels, and eventually falls off. The OEM side AMG emblems, even at 1/4" tall by 2" wide will cost you over $80.00 new, these are die stamped metal...not even close in quality to a casting. There is a reason even a famed tuner like AMG that "cuts no corners" cut the corner here, mainly because it is expensive compared to injection molding plastic or feeding blanks into a stamping press. (Although it has absolutley no effect regarding performance )

First of all great job. Just for clarification I believe the valve cover emblem was the same one as the one on the trunklid for the 95 and early 96 C36's. I recall putting them side by side when I updated to the newer emblem on the trunklid of my 96 and it was a perfect match. If memory hasn't failed me, this might be a way to get a new emblem for less than the $440. Even so it would be plastic and surely not cheap.
Thanks for the kind words, and again, very astute observations on your part!

If you need C43 parts to play with, let my know I would love a carbon engine cover, my chrome AMG and symbol are chipping..and like you said, the dealer wants $330 for the whole cover!! But I would pay that for carbon fiber

Thanks man, I may be doing some carbon fiber work soon so we'll see how my first runs turn out . As for you're degrading chrome AMG engine emblem, my cast aluminum versions replace them. Just pry the old disintegrating one off of your engine plastic and pop these on and you never have to worry about it again, aside from polishing every now and then. No $330 bill .

JUST AN UPDATE!
The very first beta test set (Small and Large Emblem) has been sent and recieved by Jay. I hope Jay posts his thoughts on them so I can create a future customer confidence in quality when I do begin to sell them.
So far the engine emblem on my C36 is holding up perfectly 300+ miles so far. The smaller emblems I attached to the side fenders have been holding up well despite the fact that our roads are salted like hell, and it has been sticking to the bare aluminum and when wiped off with water they are a bit stained. A quick once-over with aluminum polish and they are back to a brilliant sheen again. I'm think I may just find an industrial grade clear coat as most people don't want to have to polish the exterior emblems every week. I should have put a quick application of wax on the smaller ones as well and that would have sealed them preventing the salt stain. Again, the engine bay emblem has no wax , just bare polished aluminum and it still looks fantastic.
Hope you guys have not forgotten about this project, it's still developing at full speed!

thanx Ben,
the emblems really look gr8, they even look of much better quality from distance than the plastic one that comes on the M104 engine. it really feels special, custom made, and adds value to the look.
the small one looks very nice but just looking at it you would know its alot more difficult to make. but i cant say how it will hold up to the elements after Ben's post. So what should i coat it with to protect it?
once the snow storm subsides ill be installing them and ill post the pics here.

I would happily be a beta tester for your emblems in the CA climate, let me know.
Also with all this talk of intakes and crossovers, didnt anyone make an intake that stayed on the OTHER side of the engine so no crossover would be needed? I hate the look of the crossover going over the engine and want to see its full length and beauty when I pop the hood.
