boost my w202 c230
is is possible and practical for a back yard mechanic to put a C43 engine in a c230 space in a '97 202 chassis?

Short answer is no, for the long one please search. This questions has been asked many times. Tranny wont match up and you will need a bunch of other parts also. Drop in a C36 engine. She be much cheaper and easier.

you need to swap alot of parts to cope with the AMG performance.
better to get the whole car they are dirt cheap nowadays if you have the bread.
switching parts to make your c230 go faster will cost you alot more than buying the inline6 or v8 car

Much cheaper to search for one. You'd need brake swap to handle your new found speed too. C43 has 10" rotors, new exhaust etc..

I've done the research and a CLK55 will drop right into the average GARAGE. In some instances things may be tight, at which time, parking it at the curb may be necessary (oh the horror!). As far as costs, due to depreciation, this can be done by individuals who even have a back yard/below average FICO score. Difficulties with keeping it running are owner specific as some with less than judacious maintenance habits may run into difficulty.

Yes, I am bored at work and desperately searching for meaningful entertainment. The alcohol is freely flowing at my customer site (for those that know me - der mount in der wood), but the activities of my drunken coworkers is less than satifying.

Mine is in great shape and has a great list of working mods and I paid 8k... How many miles are on your car?
