I just made a request at the group buy purchase section about these camber arms.
Seems like people are not interested to join me so we can get a better deal!

There is not going to be any flow difference between 3" titanium and 3" stainless exhaust piping unless the surface finishes are vastly different (which they won't be). The gauge of the piping is also not going to dramatically alter the sound. Nor is the density of the pipe. Nor are you going to make a C43 sound like a G35.

I also would not be too certain that your piping is titanium. Titanium has to be welded in a very controlled environment since it reacts with oxygen when it gets near its melting point. Sounds like you spent a lot of money, so perhaps they did it right.

It's not worth it to use titanium on a street car exhaust though as the overall weight savings on a thin gauge pipe due to the lower density is negligible. If you weld titanium wrong, then the weld gives out and you drag your expensive exhaust down the street. If you can find a good shop that can weld stainless, I would recommend that route.

I thought the stock pipe where the 2nd cats are located was 2.5"? Is it 3"?

Ti exhaust system sounds much much deeper in low rpm range and it screams at high revs.
I've had eisenmann (meisterchaft) titanium down pipe and exhaust with rasp x pipe on e46 m3 and the sound was on its own level. It didn't sound like V12's deep roar, but it sure did make my pants wet.
Also, the weight saving was ridiculous. Stock e46 m3 exhaust was about 50-60lb while the Ti exhaust about 20lb..

Yeah but what we are talking about is adding SS pretty far back in the exhaust system between main cats and muffler. The weight savings for SS replacement pipe is about the same because your loosing the heavey second cats and res's... 2 feet of 321 SS pipe vs Ti pipe and the weight loss isnt that great.

We also need to clarify between titanium tubing and a titanium muffler body. I have a titanium exhaust on my bike (tubing and mufflers) and it definitely sounds different than my friends same bike, but he has carbon fiber muffler bodies. There are also a lot of things inside a muffler that influence sound. I'm actually working on a new exhaust at work (I'm buying it and managing it, not designing it, so not down in the nitty gritty) but we tweak and change little things and it impacts both the tone and the overall sound output without having anything to do with the material that it is made out of. So while a titanium bodied muffler will influence the sound a certain degree, so will the baffle design, bends both inside the muffler and in the exhaust system, etc. It's very difficult to apply the 'titanium will make it sound this way' logic and have it actually be true. Now, 'a titanium eisenmann exhaust will make it sound this way' is a little more accurate. Anyways, interesting discussion.

Well I heard they were sent out today. He was having trouble with his website evidently. I also tried to to support a local business. He's only located about 60miles away.

But had I known it would take so long. I would have looked at other options.

This is the one I have on my C240 and purchased from the guys in Denmark. It is the insert and just needs clipping into the chrome surround. Good quality even if the car lives outside in all weather.

How much did it cost you? And can you find out if they are able to ship it to USA? Or you can just share the contact info with us!

I am desperatly looking for that grill as well, if anyone finds a great deal (besides ebay) please share with us! So far I found one for $244 for the entire grill, not the insert. I still want to pay less if I can :/

Well I have to admit, you're right about having the right interior of the muffler. But what I figured Austin was asking was about the piping from primary cats to muffler, which is not 2 feet. So that's where in my opinion TI was they way to go, and yes it does need to be welded at a right environment.

The CF grill is 113 euros shipped. That's $155 US and I don't think that's bad if the quality is good. - know there a few members here sporting these so let us know.

Quality is good (nearly 1 year on the car) for the moment. It comes complete with the chrome surround and is a 5 minute bolt off - bolt on operation. Some pics. Sorry for the quality, but it was raining the day I took the close ups:
