HID foglights....?

Does anyone have HID foglights?

If so, can you post pictures of how they look, and your setup... I want to get yellow HIDs for my foglights.

get a 3000k hid kit.. I swear by these guys. ALOT of fellow forum members on the w163 benzworld forums have installed this kit including myself. Previously on my ml430 I had osram nightbreakers which are some of the brightest halogen bulbs.. I am running 5000k 55w HID's for my lows and the lights are SO MUCH BETTER than halogens. Obviously for the fogs you will want to run 35w because of heat and limited space. These ddm tuning guys are actually the manufacturers and distributors so the pricing is really good.

Obviously there are lots of choices for HID kits.. I just have had a really good experience with DDM.

I will be retrofitting HID's into both the lows and fogs when i get a chance.

not to threadbash but one of my fogs has moisture.. Has anyone run into this and solved it without resorting to replacement?

Pop the rear cover off and let it evaporate.... Should be OK for summer.

Remove from car and inspect for seals/cracks for long term. You might have a bad seal where the glass meets the housing.

The seals on the lamps are a replaceable part. Most MB lights have rubber or foam seals that you can buy and replace. Handy when your taking lights apart to mod them. B) No need to bake them apart.

Here is some info for you:

The C43 lighting section on EPC does not list the fog lamp parts... Only the complete unit.

Fortuneatly, it does cross to a SLK230 fog lamp, which does have an exploded view of the lamp.

Neat solution. I dismantled mine, cleaned everything up, put some silicone grease on the rubber seal and put back together. Changed the lights to clear glass ones after.

They are not "sealed" to begin with, there is a small breather hose on the back that is supposed to help prevent moisture.

You can have the back off my old fogs if you want, I never had a problem with moisture in my fogs so I would believe the seal is good...

So, what should I get with the hid kit?? there are 3 more options to choose from.
I have PIAA Yellow in my fog lights and they are not yellow enough for my taste
I never thought of using 3000k hid for that bright yellow flooding light!! I should get this asap!!
