UPDATE:
I have received my headers AND have sourced the final piece to the puzzle, the Renntech air box. The box should be shipped out to me on Monday.
I am going to change my dyno plans and should be running the following:
1.) after Renntech air box has been installed
2.) after Kleemann headers and high flow cats have been installed
3.) after Eurocharged tune has been installed
Eurocharged will make a custom tune depending on the mods you have. Since the remote tuning process is kind of a hassle I figured I would get all of the mods installed and then tune once.
I will be setting up an appointment to get my headers installed ASAP.

I think you should dyno with the headers and high flows first then put on the renntech box. Don't you get a few pulls when you setup a dyno? Do the first pull with the headers and cats, then pop on the renntech airbox which is easy. I can't wait to see what you finally put down after you ecu tune.

Looking forward too I hope to get my 43 out of hibernation and back on the road, but I may have to delay this (or else get the work done by my trusted tech, but then where is the fun of doing it yourself), as I my left hand needs surgery and that will keep it out of operations several weeks

UPDATE:
My Renntech CF airbox should be sent out tomorrow and I should receive it in about 5 days.
I can't wait
The only sad part is I am running out of mods Not much left except an LSD, S/C or 55 swap
Most likely I will go with the 55 swap (and then maybe a S/C ) but I will do the LSD before that as not only is it cheaper but it will help put all that power from the new motor to the ground

UPDATE:
Look what arrived today
The bottom has been heat shielded
It came with K&N air filters but I am thinking about replacing them with OEM filters due to the fact that apparently MAF's and K&N's don't mix well.
I will be installing this bad boy ASAP and then scheduling the dyno to capture the gains.

I have seen from 6HP to 20 HP and Renntech claims 15-20HP. I know there have been some members on here who have done independent dynos and have come up with similar numbers. Hooleyboy dyno'd 10 RWHP gain. I am unsure if Renntechs numbers are at the crank or at the rear wheel.
here is a link to a thread about it:

Either way, without a doubt it adds power

The secret is not to oil the filters too much and make sure you oil the correct side of the panel filter, i.e. the side the air enter's the filter b4 being filtered.

Dump the K&N's, and get a set of AFE Pro-Dry S's.

Using them in my Renntech box on my CLK55 and my stock airbox in my ML55. Great filters and no oil to worry about.

Yes dyno's will be performed with the box and I will check out those filters. Are there any HP gains with the AFE filters?

Hi Paul,
OT perhaps, but I have just had a look and been through your "Turbo" site. OUTSTANDING engineering That is some serious tuning and I guess you could go and work with AMG anytime Great work

UPDATE:
Just ordered 2 of the AFE pro dry S filters for my Renntech air box, they should be here in a week or so. I opened up the box and you could see some of the oil from the K&N's caked inside of the box. that's all I needed to see to push me towards dry filters.
I will not be installing the box until I get the new filters, I will clean up the inside and I am thinking about redoing the heat shielding on the bottom of the box while I am waiting for the new filters.
I will post pics of the inside of the Renntech box VS the inside of the stock box for comparison.
